Viettel officially started construction of the Danang Logistics Center with an area of ​​up to 8.6 hectares and a total investment of more than 722 billion VND, including three warehouse blocks with a total area of ​​nearly 40,000 square meters.

On October 15 in Da Nang, Viettel Post Joint Stock Corporation (Viettel Post) officially started construction of the Da Nang Logistics Center in Lien Chieu Industrial Park, Da Nang City.

The project aims to improve logistics operations capacity in the Central Highlands, integrate modern automation technology, operate digital data and move towards green and sustainable standards.

The center is built on an area of ​​8.6 hectares with a total investment of more than 722 billion VND, including three warehouse blocks with a total area of ​​nearly 40,000 square meters.

The center structure includes: a warehouse for distributing consumer goods, cooled and cold goods; a fulfillment warehouse (serving to process and control e-commerce orders from the time they are received into the warehouse until they are delivered to customers); an automatic sorting center with a Crossbelt Sorter sorting line with a capacity of 9,000 parcels/hour, combined with AGV autonomous robots, optimizing the flow of goods and operating productivity.

The intelligent management system connects warehouse, order and transport data in real time, allowing routing, load optimization and operational control. According to calculations, the center when operational is expected to shorten operating time by 33% and save about 348,000 km of transportation per month, reducing fuel costs and emissions, moving towards a green and efficient logistics model.

The center is designed to become a link connecting the production - retail - e-commerce ecosystem in the Central - Central Highlands region, shortening the time to market, improving delivery accuracy, increasing competitive advantage for businesses and promoting sustainable e-commerce. The project will create stable jobs, contribute to the local budget and improve regional operational capacity.

At the groundbreaking ceremony, Mr. Phung Van Cuong - General Director of Viettel Post emphasized: "Da Nang Logistics Center is deployed on a modern technology platform, data is the language and speed is the core value. The project will connect manufacturers, retailers and e-commerce platforms, improve supply chain efficiency, optimize operating costs and emissions. Viettel Post is committed to implementing on schedule, operating according to green - digital - smart standards, contributing to improving national logistics capacity and developing the local economy ."

The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by leaders of Da Nang City, representatives of investment partners and construction contractors. Viettel Post committed to closely coordinate with the government and partners to complete the technical infrastructure, install the automation line, inspect and test the synchronous operation before putting into operation.

When put into operation, the Da Nang Logistics Center will be an important component of a synchronous, modern, green and digital logistics network, contributing to improving the operational capacity of the entire region, promoting the development of the digital economy and sustainable trade. The project is expected to complete phase 1 in 2026, ready to serve businesses and people./.
