On the afternoon of December 3, at Thang Long Room, National Assembly House, the Group of Local Specialized National Assembly Deputies held a meeting to summarize the activities of the 15th National Assembly term. Attending the meeting were comrades: Tran Thanh Man, Politburo member, Secretary of the National Assembly Party Committee, Chairman of the National Assembly; Do Van Chien, Politburo member, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the National Assembly Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly; Vice Chairmen of the National Assembly; leaders of the Ethnic Council, Committees of the National Assembly; leaders of the National Assembly Office and members of the Group of Local Specialized National Assembly Deputies.

Speaking at the opening of the conference, Comrade Ly Thi Lan, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Tuyen Quang province, Permanent Representative of the Group of Local National Assembly Delegates, emphasized the significance of the conference in the context of the 15th National Assembly term coming to an end.

He affirmed that this is an opportunity to comprehensively and deeply review the results achieved, and at the same time acknowledge the responsible, dedicated and intellectual contributions of the local specialized representative force - those who are directly attached to the grassroots and regularly participate in the activities of the highest state power agency.

Head of the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies Ly Thi Lan delivered the opening speech of the conference.

He said that during their tenure, 77 full-time National Assembly deputies in provinces and cities have promoted a high sense of responsibility, dedication and initiative in researching, contributing opinions to draft laws, monitoring activities and deciding on many important issues of the country. As a bridge between the Central and local levels, the deputies have promptly reflected practical issues and conveyed the aspirations of voters to the National Assembly.

In her speech, Comrade Ly Thi Lan respectfully thanked the leadership and direction of the National Assembly Chairwoman and Vice Chairwomen; the close and effective coordination of the Ethnic Council, the National Assembly Committees and the National Assembly Office in providing information, professional documents, and supporting conditions for delegates to successfully complete their tasks. She acknowledged the support of the Office of the National Assembly Delegation and the People's Councils of localities - an important logistics force, always ensuring conditions for the activities of delegates throughout the term.

At the conference, local full-time delegates exchanged and shared experiences and made a number of recommendations to continue improving the coordination mechanism between the National Assembly and local agencies, promoting data sharing to serve the people's petition work, improving conditions to ensure the activities of local full-time delegates, and at the same time maintaining gratitude, social and volunteer activities - a beautiful tradition of the Group in recent terms.

Speaking at the conference, on behalf of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh respectfully acknowledged and highly appreciated the contributions of the Group of full-time local National Assembly deputies during the past term. The Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly emphasized that National Assembly deputies are the center of the National Assembly's activities; in which full-time deputies at the central and local levels play a core role, contributing to creating a pervasive influence in the activities of the National Assembly, bringing the breath of life into the parliament and making practical and effective contributions to the overall results of the 15th National Assembly term.
