Vietnam Fatherland Front Provincial Committee held the first consultation on election work

On December 3, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee held the first Consultation Conference to agree on the structure, composition, and number of candidates for the 16th National Assembly and the 20th Provincial People's Council, term 2026 - 2031. Comrades: Ha Trung Kien, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; Nguyen Viet Khanh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee chaired the conference. Attending the conference were comrade Hau Minh Loi, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; leaders of departments, branches, sectors; Office of the National Assembly Delegation and Provincial People's Council; Fatherland Front Committees of communes and wards.

At the conference, comrade Hau Minh Loi, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, presented the National Assembly Standing Committee's plan on the allocation of the number, structure, and composition of candidates nominated for the 16th National Assembly of Tuyen Quang province, term 2026 - 2031. Of which, the total number of elected National Assembly deputies is 10; 5 delegates residing and working in the locality are expected according to the orientation structure, 1 delegate according to the guidance structure; the combined structure nominated by the locality is 13 people.

In the spirit of democracy and frankness, the delegates basically agreed with the National Assembly Standing Committee's plan to introduce candidates for the 16th National Assembly of Tuyen Quang province. At the same time, they discussed and proposed adjusting the number of ethnic representatives to suit local realities and paying attention to introducing female and ethnic minority representatives.

In the content of the Negotiation and Agreement on the structure, composition, and number of candidates for the People's Council of Tuyen Quang province, term XX, 2026 - 2031, Comrade Hau Minh Loi, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council presented the expected number of Provincial People's Council delegates as 62 delegates. Regarding the structure, it includes: Female delegates, ethnic minorities, young people, re-elected delegates, and non-Party delegates. The number of candidates recommended for election is 101 people.

After listening to the expected structure, composition, and number of candidates for the 20th Provincial People's Council, the delegates highly agreed with the contents that the Provincial People's Council Standing Committee had developed.

The conference results are an important basis for the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee to continue implementing the next steps of consultation, ensuring that the process of introducing candidates for the 16th National Assembly and the 20th Provincial People's Council for the 2026-2031 term is democratic, objective and close to the practical situation of the locality.
