Maximum effort to open Tuyen Quang - Ha Giang expressway on December 19, 2025

On the afternoon of December 3, comrade Nguyen Manh Tuan, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired a meeting to assess the situation and progress of the Tuyen Quang - Ha Giang Expressway Project (Phase 1) through Tuyen Quang province. Attending the meeting were leaders of a number of provincial departments and branches, representatives of a number of communes, contractors and construction units.

Overview of the meeting.

Tuyen Quang - Ha Giang Expressway Project (Phase 1), the section passing through Tuyen Quang province, has a total route length of 77 km with a total investment of 8,800 billion VND. Up to now, the site clearance work has been completed and handed over to the construction unit at 100%, basically resolving all problems, no longer affecting the construction work on the main route.

Regarding construction implementation, 6/7 construction packages for roads and bridges on the route are being implemented simultaneously (package 25: construction of lighting system is being bid). All 6 construction packages are deployed with more than 114 construction sites; the total number of machines and equipment on the route is 1,058 pieces of equipment; the number of human resources is 1,100 people.

Reporting at the meeting, contractors and construction units affirmed: With the strong direction of the Provincial People's Committee, up to now, all problems related to site clearance and construction materials have been basically resolved. However, the overall progress has not met the set plan due to objective factors such as slow site clearance, heavy rain and some contractors' limited construction organization. With the determination to complete the project according to the direction, the Project Management Board of Construction Investment Project No. 1 has been determined in directing and urging the organization of construction in 3 shifts, 4 teams, striving to open to traffic before December 19, 2025.

At the meeting, delegates focused on analyzing and discussing the advantages, clarifying difficulties and obstacles and proposing solutions to remove them, speeding up the progress of the expressway project. Concluding the meeting, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Manh Tuan praised and acknowledged the efforts of relevant departments, branches, units, investors and local authorities. He hoped that departments, branches, investors, local authorities, contractors, and design consultants would continue to make the greatest efforts to achieve the set goals. He requested relevant departments, branches, units, and authorities to focus on closer coordination, removing difficulties in quarries, materials, sand, landfill, concrete, etc. to speed up the construction of the packages.

He emphasized that Tuyen Quang province always accompanies and creates the most favorable conditions for contractors and construction units to carry out the expressway project. Therefore, during the implementation process, relevant units must coordinate closely, communicate quickly, and remove difficulties to focus on completing the set goals. He requested departments, branches, investors, and construction units to carefully prepare for the expressway opening ceremony on December 19, 2025, according to the direction of the Prime Minister.
