Strategic cooperation to promote comprehensive digital transformation between TPBank and Viettel

The cooperation agreement for the 2025-2030 period marks the deep connection between two organizations with leading roles in the fields of finance, banking and technology, aiming to build a modern, safe and sustainable digital service ecosystem, contributing to the national digital transformation process.

On November 26, 2025, in Hanoi, Tien Phong Commercial Joint Stock Bank (TPBank) and the Military Industry-Telecoms Group ( Viettel ) officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding on strategic cooperation, opening a period of comprehensive cooperation between the pioneering digital bank and one of the leading technology enterprises in Vietnam.

Within the framework of strategic cooperation, TPBank and Viettel aim to connect the power of technology to create new standards for financial-telecommunications services in Vietnam. With the DNA of a pioneering digital bank, TPBank brings to Viettel and its customer ecosystem flexible, automated financial solutions designed to operate in real time.

Credit, payment, account management and digital banking services will be deployed on an open platform, allowing for quick integration, deep connection and continuous expansion through Open Banking and Embedded Banking. When synchronized with Viettel's digital ecosystem, especially Viettel Money, the financial service network will become more seamless, faster and more accessible than ever.

On the other hand, Viettel accompanies TPBank as a strategic technology partner, bringing core competencies in digital infrastructure, cloud computing, big data and artificial intelligence to jointly develop a new generation of digital banking model. The two sides will refine data-based operations, automate processes and build a technology architecture that allows for fast, secure and scalable transaction processing according to demand.

At the same time, the combination of Viettel's logistics, transportation, communications and technology human resources capabilities with TPBank's digital operating platform will form a flexible, fast and scalable operating structure, creating advantages for both sides in the next growth phase.

A key highlight of the agreement is the shared vision of an open digital ecosystem - where financial services, digital utilities and telecommunications services are seamlessly connected, providing a “one-touch” experience for users.

TPBank and Viettel will continue to research co-branded products, expand connections with lifestyle services, bill payments, e-commerce, public services and many other fields. This partnership will not only upgrade customer experience, but also contribute to shaping a cashless payment environment, comprehensive finance and pave the way for new steps in Vietnam's digital economy .
