TPO - The "Semester in the Military in Nghe An Province 2024" program is a model of activity with significant political and social meaning, contributing to the education of revolutionary traditions and ideals, and fostering patriotism among young people in the new era.
On June 1st, at Ho Chi Minh Square (Vinh City, Nghe An Province), the Nghe An Provincial Youth Union, in coordination with the Department of Education and Training and the Military School of Military Region 4, organized the send-off ceremony for the "Semester in the Military Program of Nghe An Province" in 2024. |
The "Military Training Semester in Nghe An Province 2024" course was held from June 1st to June 9th at the Military School of Military Region 4 (Nam Dan district) with nearly 400 students from units inside and outside the province. |
The "Semester in the Military" program is a politically and socially significant activity model that contributes to educating young people about revolutionary traditions and ideals, and fostering patriotism in the new era. Through this program, students are equipped with fundamental knowledge about the traditions of the Vietnam People's Army, military science, and training exercises such as movement drills, obstacle courses, and field marches. |
In addition, during the semester, students will be equipped with life skills, soft skills, and a spirit of volunteerism for young people. They will develop independence through activities such as: organizing their living quarters; washing their own clothes; engaging in agricultural production; and acquiring the necessary knowledge to care for themselves and their teammates. They will also learn skills in responding to dangerous situations, caring for the sick; building teamwork and collaboration skills; and adapting and surviving in modern society. |
| Since 2011, the Organizing Committee of the Military Training Semester in Nghe An province has affirmed the quality and significance of the program. |
Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thuy, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Youth Union, urged teachers, coordinators, and assigned staff to uphold a high sense of responsibility, work together in solidarity, and implement the class curriculum to ensure the absolute safety of the students. |
Nguyen Thi Phuong Thuy, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Youth Union, urged the trainees to strive their best to complete the necessary basic training content for soldiers, and to truly experience life and activities in a collective environment. From this, they will learn to be independent and adapt to life away from their families. In addition, they should learn to overcome difficulties in each training content to accumulate experience and skills, and gradually mature and develop their character. |
Being away from home for the first time, many children couldn't hold back their tears. However, with encouragement from their parents and relatives, they were ready to embark on this beneficial and meaningful course. |
