The South Central coastal region and other parts of the Central Highlands will experience scattered showers and thunderstorms, with localized heavy rain in some areas, with rainfall amounts of 10-30mm, and in some places exceeding 60mm (rain concentrated in the afternoon and evening).
According to the meteorological agency's forecast, scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected in the mountainous areas of Northern Vietnam this evening and tonight, with some areas experiencing heavy rain, with rainfall amounts of 10-30mm, and some places exceeding 90mm (rain concentrated in the evening and night).
During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail, and strong gusts of wind.
The meteorological agency warns: Due to heavy rainfall, there is a risk of flooding in low-lying areas, urban areas, and industrial zones; flash floods on small rivers and streams; and landslides on slopes.

Will the heatwave in Northern Vietnam continue?
According to meteorological agencies, while heavy rain is expected in some areas, hot and sunny weather will remain the dominant weather pattern in Northern and Central Vietnam on June 3rd.
Today, the Northern region will experience hot weather, with some areas experiencing intense heat. Maximum temperatures will generally range from 35-37 degrees Celsius, with some places exceeding 37 degrees Celsius; minimum relative humidity will generally be between 50-55%. The hottest period will be from 11 AM to 4 PM.
On June 4th, the midland and lowland areas of Northern Vietnam experienced hot weather with maximum temperatures generally ranging from 35-36 degrees Celsius, and exceeding 36 degrees Celsius in some places; the lowest relative humidity was generally between 55-60%. The hot period lasted from 12-16 hours.
On June 3-4, the area from Thanh Hoa to Da Nang City and the eastern part of Quang Ngai province will experience hot and intensely hot weather, with some areas experiencing exceptionally intense heat. Maximum temperatures will generally range from 36-38 degrees Celsius, with some places exceeding 39 degrees Celsius; minimum relative humidity will generally be between 45-50%. The hottest period will be from 10 AM to 5 PM.
On June 5th, the Northern Delta region experienced hot weather; from June 6th onwards, widespread heatwave conditions intensified again in the Northern region. From June 5th, the heatwave in the Central region expanded to the eastern part of Gia Lai and Dak Lak provinces and may continue for several more days.
