With a people- and business-centric approach, the province is promoting the comprehensive application of digital platforms in its management and administration. By completing 100% of administrative procedures electronically and establishing deep connections with national databases, the province's digital government has created breakthroughs, simplifying procedures, shortening processing times, and significantly improving the quality of service to citizens at the grassroots level.
According to Nguyen Tien Hai, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party and Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, building a digital government is an inevitable trend and an important foundation for the province to build a modern, transparent, and people-friendly administrative system. Technology is a tool, but the ultimate goal must be the satisfaction of the people. If people still face difficulties and have to travel multiple times, then digital transformation has not been successful.
Thanks to the decisive leadership of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee, and the continuous efforts of the two-level local government, the province's digital government development has achieved positive results. The province's index for evaluating the quality of service to citizens and businesses in the electronic environment reached 95.96 points, ranking excellent and increasing by more than 1 point compared to the previous year. The biggest highlight is the index of citizen and business satisfaction, which reached an absolute 100%, reflecting the high level of trust society has in administrative agencies.
The digitization of records and documents has reached over 80%, focusing on land, justice, civil registration, and construction. The province's administrative procedure information system is synchronously connected with the National Population Database and the VNeID electronic identification and authentication system, making all transactions for citizens and businesses faster and more timely. The province operates five important information platforms and systems; it uniformly uses common information systems and software deployed throughout the province, ensuring that the systems always operate stably, continuously, and without interruption.
The province has established 12 specialized databases, of which 8 are being regularly utilized. As of June 2026, the entire province provides 1,861 online public services, including 1,545 full-service online public services.
The decisive leadership has translated into concrete actions in each agency and unit. To date, the exchange of electronic documents with digital signatures has become a daily habit, contributing to an increased rate of online administrative procedure processing throughout the entire process. Departments and sectors are accelerating the development of digital government, improving the efficiency of digital governance through the application of technology in operation, public service delivery, and specialized management.
The promotion of digital government brings practical benefits that are supported and approved by the people. Mr. Huynh Cong Danh, residing in Vinh Tuy commune, shared: “Previously, to complete administrative procedures, I had to go to the commune People's Committee. Now, I can quickly complete the procedure for registering my child's birth certificate on the online public service portal from home with just a few taps on my internet-connected phone, allowing me to manage my time more effectively.”
To further enhance achievements, the Provincial People's Committee requests that units with specific procedures urgently review and restructure their processes in a digital environment. The next goal is to thoroughly utilize data from national databases to enable the system to automatically fill in information, completely replacing paper-based documents. This direction promises to enable An Giang to continue its steady breakthrough, realizing the goal of a comprehensive digital government that serves the people.
