Con Go Market (Cam Nhuong commune, Cam Xuyen district, Ha Tinh province ) is located right on the coast, a place where fishermen from all over the region trade seafood. Despite having a tradition of over 400 years, the market still retains the pristine cultural characteristics of the coastal fishing village residents.

We invite you to visit Con Go fish market through the photo series "A Fish Market That Has Existed for Over 400 Years" by author Le Huy Long. You'll discover that every day, at 3 AM, before sunrise and while the night mist still hangs heavy, the women of this coastal village call out to each other as they head to the Con Go fish market. When the sun rises, the market closes, allowing traders to quickly distribute fresh seafood to markets throughout the area, reaching consumers. This photo series was submitted by the author to the Happy Vietnam Photo and Video Contest, organized by the Ministry of Information and Communications .

Con Go Fish Market is located along the breakwater of Cam Nhuong commune (Cam Xuyen district, Ha Tinh province), about 2 km from Thien Cam Tourist Area. The market operates from 3 am daily and closes at dawn.

The products are purchased by small traders from fishermen's boats after they return from fishing, then sold in markets throughout the province or supplied to restaurants and hotels. To ensure fresh produce, they have to go to the market at dawn to meet the first fishing boats.

The fishermen carefully bring trays of fresh shrimp and squid ashore.

Under the flashlight beam, the baskets were filled with the freshest, most delicious fish.

On the shore, groups of small traders, headlamps on their heads, were working diligently and enthusiastically, busily buying and selling, with radiant smiles clearly visible on the faces of the traders and fishermen here.

The Con Go early morning market lasts only about 3 hours, gradually dispersing as the sun rises. By then, the seafood has been transported by traders to markets throughout the province and to restaurants and eateries. Besides visiting the morning market, tourists can also experience watching the sunset over the sea.
