In July 2013, he graduated as valedictorian from the postgraduate program in viola under the guidance of Professors Gérard Caussé and Isabelle Lequien, and then continued his studies with a Diplôme d'Artiste Interprète at the National Conservatory of Paris.

Artist Pham Vu Thien Bao has been awarded numerous prestigious prizes from the Académie Val d'Isère, the Meyer Art Foundation, the Krigelstel Art Foundation, and others.
