Trading in gasoline and recharging batteries for electric vehicles, aware of the risks and consequences when a fire or explosion occurs, ensuring fire safety is always a top priority for PV OIL Gas Station No. 16, Tan Thanh Commune, Dong Xoai City. Mr. Trinh Xuan Hoang, representative of the store, shared: Trading in gasoline and oil has a high risk of fire or explosion, so we pay special attention to fire safety. The import and export of goods must be carried out in accordance with the correct procedures, with supervision, and fire-fighting equipment must be fully arranged in visible and easy-to-reach locations, and can be used immediately if a fire occurs.
With 17 petrol stations in the province, along with ensuring the conditions of facilities and equipment, Petrolimex Binh Phuoc Petroleum Branch has also built an on-site fire prevention force with more than 90 members participating.
Mr. Pham Duy Hoang, Technical Organization Department, Petrolimex Binh Phuoc Petroleum Branch said: All officers and employees at the stores are periodically trained and granted fire prevention and fighting certificates. In addition, the store also organizes practice courses so that the on-site fire prevention force is proactive and ready when bad situations occur.
With the regular propaganda and inspection of the functional sector, enterprises and petroleum business establishments have fully understood and strictly complied with current fire prevention and fighting regulations. Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa, Petro Binh Phuoc Petroleum Joint Stock Company said: The enterprise always receives support and companionship from the fire prevention and fighting police force, the provincial police in equipping skills, training professional skills for the staff, perfecting processes and procedures related to fire prevention and fighting, helping the enterprise meet all fire prevention and fighting safety conditions throughout the business operation.
Major Nguyen Dinh Tam, Deputy Head of the Fire Prevention Team, Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of the Provincial Police, said: “Enterprises and establishments that trade in petroleum are at high risk of fire and explosion, and the consequences if a fire occurs are extremely serious. Therefore, the unit regularly disseminates current regulations and organizes inspections of fire safety conditions at these establishments in the area. At the same time, strictly handle cases of intentional violations of fire prevention and rescue regulations.”
There are currently 406 petrol stations in the province. According to the authorities, fires and explosions involving petrol often have very serious consequences. More than ever, businesses, petrol stations and people need to raise awareness and strictly comply with current legal regulations to effectively prevent and minimize damage caused by petrol fires and explosions.
