Along with the awareness of business owners and gasoline station operators, the inspection of fire safety conditions is always a priority for the relevant authorities.
As a business combining gasoline and electric vehicle charging, PV OIL Gas Station No. 16 in Tan Thanh Commune, Dong Xoai City, is aware of the risks and consequences of fire and explosion incidents. Therefore, fire safety is always a top priority for them. Mr. Trinh Xuan Hoang, the station's representative, shared: "The gasoline business carries a high risk of fire and explosion, so we pay special attention to fire prevention and control. The import and export of goods are carried out according to proper procedures, with supervision, and firefighting equipment is readily available in easily accessible locations, ready for immediate use in case of a fire."
With 17 petrol stations operating in the province, and ensuring adequate facilities and equipment, the Petrolimex Binh Phuoc Petrol Branch has also established an on-site fire fighting force with over 90 members.
Thanks to the regular awareness campaigns and inspections by relevant authorities, businesses and petroleum establishments have become fully aware of and strictly comply with current fire safety regulations. Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa, from Petro Binh Phuoc Petroleum Joint Stock Company, said: "The company has always received support and cooperation from the fire police force and the Provincial Police in equipping staff with skills and professional training, perfecting procedures related to fire safety, helping the company meet all fire safety requirements throughout its business operations."
Major Nguyen Dinh Tam, Deputy Team Leader of the Fire Prevention Task Force, Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of the Provincial Police, said: “Businesses and establishments dealing in petroleum products are high-risk for fire and explosion, with extremely severe consequences if a fire occurs. Therefore, the unit regularly disseminates current regulations and conducts inspections to ensure fire safety conditions at these establishments in the area. At the same time, we strictly handle cases of deliberate violations of fire safety regulations.”
Currently, there are 406 gasoline stations in the province. According to relevant authorities, gasoline-related fires and explosions often have very serious consequences. More than ever, businesses, gasoline stations, and the public need to raise awareness and strictly comply with current legal regulations to effectively prevent and minimize damage caused by gasoline fires and explosions.
