(PLVN) - On December 21st, Binh Dien Fertilizer Joint Stock Company - one of the leading fertilizer producers of the Vietnam Chemical Group (Vinachem) - had the honor of welcoming Comrade Xaysomphone Phomvihane - Chairman of the National Assembly of the Lao People's Democratic Republic.

Since 2023, Binh Dien Fertilizer Joint Stock Company has established a cooperative relationship with Phongsavanh Group of Laos, marking an important step in exporting Dau Trau brand NPK fertilizers to the Lao market.

This collaboration not only provides high-quality fertilizer products but also helps improve the agricultural production capacity of Lao farmers through advanced farming models.

Recently, in Vientiane, Laos, PHAIBOUN TRAIDING IM&EX Co. Ltd (a member of Phongsavanh) and Binh Dien Quang Tri Joint Stock Company (a member of Binh Dien) signed a Memorandum of Understanding on researching and transferring scientific and technological advancements to Lao farmers.

On this occasion, Vinachem Chairman Phung Quang Hiep and leaders of Binh Dien Fertilizer Joint Stock Company welcomed and guided the Lao National Assembly delegation on a tour of the Binh Dien Fertilizer Factory, and discussed opportunities for investment cooperation in the fertilizer and agricultural sectors.

Representatives from Vinachem also introduced technical and technological advancements in fertilizer production, and shared experiences in effective agricultural practices suitable to the local conditions of Laos.

"We are delighted to welcome the delegation of leaders from the Lao National Assembly and hope that this visit will be a turning point in promoting cooperative relations between the two countries, especially in the field of agriculture."

The delegation visited Binh Dien's manufacturing plant in Long An.

Speaking with reporters, Mr. Ngo Van Dong, General Director of Binh Dien Fertilizer Joint Stock Company, affirmed that the transfer of scientific and technological advancements is the foundation of cooperation. Accordingly, Binh Dien Fertilizer Joint Stock Company has sent many leading experts to Laos to help them research soil conditions, topography, and crops, and to introduce the Dau Trau brand fertilizer products to important agricultural areas in Laos, such as Champasak, Salavan, and Savanakhet provinces. This has led to the development of fertilizer products suitable for each region and crop type.

In 2024, with total exports of Dau Trau fertilizers to Laos reaching 2,000 tons and revenue of nearly 1 million USD, Vinachem and Binh Dien Fertilizer Joint Stock Company believe that this cooperation will develop even more strongly in the future.
