On the afternoon of May 29th, the Vietnam Chemical Corporation (Vinachem) held a meeting with Hateco Group regarding the supply of technical rubber products for the Lien Chieu Container Terminal Project in Da Nang City.
Attending the meeting, on the Vinachem side were Mr. Nguyen Huu Tu - General Director of the Group; Mr. Le Hoang Khanh Nhut - General Director of Danang Rubber Joint Stock Company (DRC); and representatives from several specialized departments of the Group. On the Hateco side were Mr. Tran Van Ky - Chairman of the Board of Directors, along with leaders and staff of the Group.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed the possibility of cooperation in supplying technical rubber products for the Lien Chieu Container Terminal Project – one of the key port infrastructure projects in the Central region. The project is planned on a large scale, aiming to become a modern logistics and port center in the region, contributing to improved cargo clearance capacity, promoting marine economic development, and connecting international supply chains.
Hateco Group is a diversified enterprise with significant achievements in logistics, infrastructure, and seaports. In recent years, Hateco has intensified investment in large-scale, modern seaport projects, including the Lien Chieu Container Terminal Project in Da Nang, with the expectation of becoming an important trading hub for the Central region and the East-West economic corridor.
During the meeting, Mr. Le Hoang Khanh Nhut, General Director of DRC, introduced the company's production capacity, experience, and technical rubber product lines serving the port, maritime, and heavy industry sectors. As a company with over 50 years of tradition in the rubber tire industry under Vinachem, DRC currently possesses a modern production system and a team of experienced technicians, meeting the stringent requirements of many key infrastructure projects both domestically and internationally.
In particular, DRC has a strong advantage in manufacturing specialized technical rubber products for port facilities such as fenders, rubber pillows, and technical rubber components for ports and offshore structures. These products are manufactured to high technical standards, ensuring durability, load-bearing capacity, and adaptability to the specific operating environment of seaports.
Speaking at the meeting, leaders from both sides highly appreciated the potential for cooperation between Vinachem and Hateco in the future. The use of domestically produced technical rubber products not only contributes to increasing the localization rate in large infrastructure projects but also affirms the capacity of Vietnamese industrial enterprises to participate in modern, large-scale projects.
The cooperation between the two sides is expected to make a practical contribution to achieving the double-digit growth targets set by the Party, Government, and Ministry of Finance for Vinachem; and at the same time, further affirm Vinachem's role and product quality in contributing to the modernization of infrastructure and national development.
