In 2025, Quang Ninh province is expected to welcome 21.28 million tourists (a 12% increase compared to 2024 and reaching 100% of the target). Total tourism revenue is projected to reach 57,000 billion VND (a 22% increase compared to 2024).
In recent years, Quang Ninh has consistently ranked among the leading localities nationwide in terms of tourist arrivals and revenue, becoming one of the "locomotives" of the tourism industry in Northern Vietnam. This achievement is closely linked to the province's commitment to investing comprehensively in infrastructure and tourism development. The inter-regional highway system, Van Don International Airport, modern cruise ship ports, and a network of high-end accommodation facilities have created a crucial foundation for breakthroughs. Simultaneously, a series of new tourism products have been introduced, ranging from high-end resort tourism and spiritual-cultural tourism in Yen Tu and Cua Ong, to experiential tourism, ecotourism, water sports , and large-scale concert events. This has gradually shaped a diverse product ecosystem, extending the length of stay and increasing tourist spending.
However, the high growth rate also places an urgent demand on service quality management. Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Thuy, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, stated: Practical experience shows that even a single weak link in the service supply chain, from accommodation, transportation, food and beverage, travel agencies, tour guides, to the business environment at tourist attractions, can diminish the overall tourist experience and directly affect the reputation of the destination. In the context of increasingly fierce competition, as many regional and international tourism centers continuously raise service and management standards, the province has identified standardizing tourism quality not only as an immediate requirement but also as a long-term development strategy, linked to the goal of building a destination brand that is "Safe - Friendly - Quality - Internationally Classed".
The units are also actively investing in infrastructure and training high-quality human resources to serve tourism and services. Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Huong, CEO of Vietnam Yacht Investment and Service Joint Stock Company, said: "The company specializes in operating and providing luxury yacht services, serving high-paying customers, including many billionaire groups visiting Quang Ninh . Therefore, the company focuses on investing in infrastructure, people, and services; bringing in new, modern yachts; and designing unique and attractive itineraries to serve customers. The company is continuing to recruit and train staff with good foreign language skills and professional expertise to provide the best quality service for tourists."

Resolution No. 30-NQ/TW (dated November 23, 2022) of the Politburo on socio-economic development and ensuring national defense and security in the Red River Delta region until 2030, with a vision to 2045, has set the goal of developing Quang Ninh province into a tourism center connecting with the region and the world, a cultural industry center with high-class resorts with a synchronized and modern infrastructure system, diverse, unique, high-quality tourism products, strong brands and global appeal, high competitiveness, and linkages with airlines, cruise ships, and leading international tourism corporations.
Following this direction, the province requires departments, agencies, and localities to review the operations of travel agencies, tourism service establishments, and shopping destinations to improve management efficiency, implement visitor reporting, and manage revenue contributing to the province's economic growth. Simultaneously, it emphasizes strengthening security and safety inspections at tourist areas and destinations; checking price listings and service quality, especially at accommodation establishments, cruise ships, amusement parks, and shopping areas, to ensure a civilized and safe tourism environment. Tourism associations and professional organizations are encouraged to participate actively in self-monitoring and self-regulation, considering the protection of the destination's reputation as a long-term benefit for both businesses and workers.
