On August 28th, representatives from the Nha Trang Theater announced that starting August 30th, the theater will officially launch the performance "Chum Show - The Kiss of Art" to serve the public and tourists visiting Nha Trang.
Inspired by the image of the earthenware jar, an object closely associated with the life and beliefs of the Vietnamese people, the performance unfolds an artistic journey revolving around the cyclical nature of life: birth, death, and rebirth.
In particular, in the Cham language and some other indigenous languages of the Central Highlands, "chum" also means "kiss," a gentle symbol of love, healing, and human connection.
Chum Show presents a fresh cultural product, exploring the distinctive local identity of the people and land of Khanh Hoa , created from the unique blend of three influences.
It is the profound mystique of Cham culture, the free-spirited and resilient nature of the ethnic groups of the Central Highlands, along with the graceful and refined manners of the Kinh people in their communities.
The Chum show lasts over 30 minutes and features three main scenes: Mythology, the sacred connection between gods and humans, and the continuation of culture and the transmission of good wishes. The show will be held at 10:00 AM every Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

The show's highlights include innovative circus performances and aerial acrobatics, as well as traditional music performed live by local artisans.
Ms. Ngo Thanh Phuong - the general director of Chum show - said that following the success of the play "Puppet Dream," Chum Show was created to offer visitors a space that is unhurried, unconventional, and uncompromising.
"Our approach is not aimed at creating perfect artists, but rather at building a space where people, with all their vulnerability, clashes, emotions, and being, can live authentically and create genuinely."
" We hope that Chum show will be a place where a kiss is no longer just a symbol of love, but becomes a simple, gentle yet powerful act of art," Ms. Phuong shared.
