"Children do small tasks."

Amidst the devastating floods in Central Vietnam, the "Contributing Sunshine of Love" program spread beautiful images of elementary school students bringing piggy banks or new notebooks to school to contribute. Tran Bao Tue Lam, a 5th grade student from Quang Trung Elementary School in Tan Thanh Ward, moved many with her carefully written handwritten note tucked into a small gift to support the people of Central Vietnam: “Although we’ve never met, I hope you will all be strong enough to return to school soon.” These gifts embody the spirit of mutual support and compassion nurtured from the school days, with young children contributing their small efforts to create a shared “miracle.”

Over 500 million VND and tens of tons of essential supplies were donated through the "Contributing Sunshine of Love" program at the Ca Mau Provincial Children's House. These are not just statistics, but the culmination of thousands of actions and heartfelt contributions from individual students and young people in Ca Mau.

Schools maintain annual fundraising activities to support disadvantaged individuals.

At the relief supply collection points, the sight of students busily loading and unloading heavy relief boxes was heartwarming. Huynh Tran Thien Thanh, a student from Binh Duong University (Ca Mau branch), wiped away her sweat and shared: “I’m tired, but I’m very happy. When I think about how these gifts will help a family out there have a full meal, or give a child a new pair of sandals or school supplies, all the fatigue disappears.”

It wasn't just university students; fourth-grade students like Nguyen Duc Phat were equally enthusiastic. From helping people carry heavy loads with their small hands to donating all the lucky money they had saved from Tet, Phat lovingly gave it away with a simple wish: "I hope there will be fewer floods in Central Vietnam so that my friends won't have to suffer so much."

Nguyen Duc Phat, a student from Nguyen Van Troi Primary School, participated in the carrying team.

"Contributing Sunshine of Love" and other charitable activities have become a bridge of compassion maintained by schools as a beautiful tradition. Through each small gift, students not only contribute to warming the community but also allow kindness to naturally permeate and crystallize into the noble character of young citizens who know how to live for others.

"A warm Tet holiday for you"

In the vibrant atmosphere of the early days of the new year 2026, the blue uniforms of the Ca Mau Provincial Police force's volunteers added warmth to the spring season for those in special circumstances. At the Long Phuoc Children's Care Center in Vinh Trach ward, the "Warm Tet for Children" program distributed material gifts, spreading positive energy and igniting hope for 34 orphaned children being cared for there. With a total of nearly 60 million VND connected from benefactors, the Economic Police Youth Union donated many essential items to the center's communal kitchen. In particular, each child also received 5 new shirts to wear for Tet.

Captain Nguyen Xuan Bao Anh, Deputy Head of the Youth Committee of the Provincial Police, presents support to the Long Phuoc Childcare Center.

Captain Nguyen Trong Nhan, Secretary of the Youth Union, shared: “We chose to name the program “A Warm Tet for Children” with the desire to bring material care and encouragement, helping the children feel that they are always cared for, loved, and protected by the community.”

"A Warm Tet for Children" brings an early spring to children in special circumstances.

The children's joy upon receiving their new clothes.

What sets this year's spring campaign apart is that police officers are combining it with awareness campaigns about the harmful effects of tobacco and high-tech scams. This serves as a "shield" of knowledge to help children protect themselves online and in their daily lives.

The interest shown by young people is a great source of encouragement for the temple to continue its journey of nurturing and raising these children to adulthood. Currently, many children at the facility are striving to excel, studying diligently, and entering university, demonstrating the vibrant spirit of these young saplings nurtured by compassion,” said Venerable Thich Thien Tan, Deputy Director of the Long Phuoc Children's Care Center.

Going beyond the confines of movements, the volunteer activities of Ca Mau's youth have become a continuous stream of compassion, affirming the pioneering spirit and passionate hearts of the younger generation always dedicated to the community.
