Over the past period, Vinh Long province has focused on developing digital infrastructure, digital government, digital economy , and digital society, while promoting the application of technology in the operations of state agencies. Telecommunications infrastructure continues to be invested in comprehensively, with 100% of communes and wards having broadband fiber optic infrastructure, 100% of hamlets and villages covered by 4G mobile network, and 366 5G BTS stations put into operation. The percentage of households with broadband connection has reached 81%.
According to Mr. Nguyen Tan Duc, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Vinh Long province, the locality has coordinated with telecommunications enterprises to implement Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in the development of science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation. Digital infrastructure and technology platforms are gradually meeting the requirements of the province's digital transformation, creating conditions to improve management efficiency and serve the people.

Along with infrastructure development, many digital solutions have also been implemented at the commune and ward levels to shorten the time for handling administrative procedures and enhance transparency. According to the Department of Science and Technology of Vinh Long province, the results of implementing the set of indicators for serving citizens and businesses according to Decision 766/QD-TTg have recorded many positive changes.
Many localities have also proactively implemented models to support people's access to digital technology. Local officials, community digital technology teams, and telecommunications businesses directly guide people in using online public services, installing software, activating electronic identity accounts, and accessing digital utilities in their daily lives.

According to Mr. Mai Van Hau, Director of Viettel Vinh Long, in the coming time, the unit will continue to coordinate with local authorities to implement solutions suitable to the local reality, while supporting training and improving digital capacity for grassroots officials to promote digital transformation in a substantive and effective manner.
Promoting digital transformation from the grassroots level not only contributes to improving the efficiency of government operations but also gradually fosters the habit of using digital technology in the community, aiming towards building a digital government, digital economy, and digital society to better serve the people.
