Experts suggest ways to innovate training

On April 25, Associate Professor Dr. Bui Duy Cam, former principal of the University of Natural Sciences, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, who has participated in more than 100 external evaluation teams ofeducational institutions and training programs, discussed with Thanh Nien reporters about the content of innovation in training methods in the current context.

According to Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Duy Cam, training innovation is not only a choice but an urgent requirement in the current context. The goal of innovation is to train learners with comprehensive capacity, who can adapt and succeed in a constantly changing world .

Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Duy Cam said that Resolution 29 of the Central Committee on fundamental and comprehensive innovation of Vietnamese education has set out core goals, including focusing on innovation in teaching and learning methods to ensure learners' capacity, professional capacity and lifelong learning capacity.

Not only mentioning changing the form of teaching, he also believes that it is necessary to aim for a systematic transformation, from the design of training programs to the way they are implemented in the classroom.

According to him, some issues that educational institutions need to focus on are: ensuring capacity, not only academic knowledge but students need to be equipped with practical skills, problem-solving ability, critical thinking and teamwork; training programs need to be closely linked to the needs of the labor market, updated with the latest trends and create conditions for students to practice and gain real-life experience.

In a rapidly changing world, the ability to learn on your own, update your knowledge and adapt to change is extremely important. Schools need to equip students with the tools and skills to learn effectively and continuously.

Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Duy Cam also emphasized that innovation in teaching methods is not only a trend but a mandatory requirement to train generations of students with competitive capacity, meeting the requirements of society and contributing to the development of the country.
