Surpassing thousands of candidates in the 10th grade entrance exam in 2025, Do Bao Trang, a student of Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted (junior high school), excellently won the top position in the Physics class in the whole city of Hanoi, with an impressive total admission score - 47/50 points.

Specifically, Bao Trang got 10 in Math, 9.75 in English, 8.25 in Literature and 9.5 in Physics (multiplied by a factor of 2).

" I was very surprised and happy when I found out I was valedictorian because during the exam, I wasn't very confident in Literature so I didn't dare to expect much," Bao Trang said last night, when the Department of Education and Training announced the exam scores, she was outside, and her phone suddenly ran out of battery, so she couldn't check her scores right away. When her relatives informed her, the female student's emotions were overwhelming.

Previously, in the two entrance exams to grade 10 of the High School for the Gifted in Natural Sciences and the High School for the Gifted in Hanoi National University of Education, the female student from Hanoi both excelled and won the second place in the entrance exam for Physics.

Not being attached to Physics from the beginning, in grade 6, Bao Trang studied in a specialized Chemistry class. The real turning point came in grade 7, when she discovered a strong passion for Physics and decided to pursue it to the end.

"Physics not only contains mathematical knowledge, but also helps me explain many interesting phenomena in life, understand more about the laws behind things that seem simple and obvious," Bao Trang said, adding that, inspired by her father and brother, studying Physics has never been a burden for the female student. For 10X , girls studying natural sciences is not difficult if they have enough passion and the right direction.

During her studies, Bao Trang always emphasized the importance of self-study, believing that this is a valuable time to deepen her knowledge and discover her own strengths. 10X especially focuses on reviewing lessons learned, helping her understand more deeply and remember longer.

Bao Trang said that every time she encountered a difficult lesson, she would seek out her father - a former student majoring in Physics, who not only explained it in detail and made it easy to understand, but also patiently accompanied her on her learning journey.

“For lessons I don’t understand, I will ask my dad right away. My dad is my second teacher, not only does he help me understand the lessons but he is also my strong spiritual support and the biggest source of encouragement throughout my studies and exam preparation,” the female student said.

During the 10th grade exam preparation period, Bao Trang maintained an effective study habit but not too stressful. The female student often studied until around 12am and did not force herself to stay up late at all costs. For 10X, the quality of study is more important than the time spent studying.

The valedictorian achievement is not surprising if we look back at the previous learning journey of the female student from Hanoi. Specifically, in the 9th grade, Bao Trang won first prize and was runner-up in Physics at the Hanoi city-level excellent student competition, a solid stepping stone to help her confidently enter the important transition exam.

Mr. Do Ba Dan, Bao Trang's father, commented that his daughter is a highly self-disciplined and proactive person. Trang often plans her own studies, arranges a reasonable timetable, and even knows how to take care of her physical and mental health to ensure the best learning results.

Regarding his family, Mr. Dan said that everyone always accompanies, encourages and creates a positive environment for his child, instead of putting pressure.

After achieving high results in the 10th grade entrance exam, Bao Trang decided to study in the Physics specialized class of Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted, the school she attended for four years of middle school.

"I chose to continue majoring in Physics because this is a subject I truly love, have a solid foundation, and am inspired by my family. I believe that the learning environment at Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted will help me develop my abilities, train my thinking, and open up many opportunities for further development," the female student shared.

Having passed an important exam, Bao Trang understands that there are still many other challenges ahead. The female student always reminds herself to maintain a spirit of persistent effort, preparing well for the next steps on her learning journey.
