On October 17, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long signed Decision No. 2288/QD-TTg on renaming the People's Public Security University of Engineering and Logistics to the Academy of Security Engineering and Technology.

The Ministry of Education and Training, the Ministry of Public Security , the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province and relevant agencies, according to their functions, tasks and authority, shall guide and supervise the renaming process to ensure transparency, prevent negativity, loss and waste of finance and assets; not affect the normal and continuous operation of the school; ensure the legitimate rights and interests of students, lecturers, managers, employees and related organizations and individuals according to the provisions of law.

This Decision comes into force from the date of signing and promulgation (October 17, 2025).
