Rename the People's Public Security University of Engineering and Logistics

After 15 years of construction and development, the People's Public Security University of Engineering and Logistics was renamed the Academy of Security Engineering and Technology.

Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long has just signed a decision to change the name of the People's Public Security University of Technology and Logistics to the Academy of Security Technology and Engineering .

This Decision takes effect from the date of signing and promulgation, October 17.

The name change does not affect the normal operation of the school, while ensuring the legitimate rights of students, lecturers, staff, employees and related organizations and individuals.

People's Public Security University of Technology and Logistics has gone through three important stages of formation and development.

In 1984, the Ministry of Interior (now the Ministry of Public Security ) reorganized the system of people's police high schools, thereby forming the Information and Communications High School and the Vocational Technical High School III (later the People's Security High School III).

In 1993, the two schools were merged into the People's Public Security Technical Vocational High School, then renamed the People's Public Security Technical Vocational College, to meet the need for training technical and professional staff in the context of innovation of the police force.

On October 21, 2010, on the basis of upgrading the People's Public Security Technical College, the Ministry of Public Security decided to establish the People's Public Security Technical and Logistics University.

After 15 years of development, the school officially changed its name to Academy of Security Engineering and Technology, marking an important step of maturity in terms of scale, structure and training orientation.

Currently, the Academy is headquartered in Bac Ninh province, responsible for training high-quality human resources in the fields of professional engineering, science and technology and public security logistics.

Specialized training majors include: Information Technology, Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering, People's Public Security Engineering, Technical Investigation, People's Public Security Logistics, etc.
