All of these uniforms were designed and made by students of the school's Faculty of Garment and Fashion Technology with the support of businesses and alumni.

Secretary of the Youth Union Le Van Hoang said Dong Khoi Secondary School is one of the schools heavily affected by the recent historic floods.

"IUH hopes to contribute a small part to help students stabilize their studies, while also reducing some of the difficulties in facilities after natural disasters. This is also an opportunity for students to experience, understand and spread the spirit of responsibility to the community.

We tried to leave that night to promptly support the school to help students return to class soon after the natural disaster," Mr. Hoang shared.

Before departure, IUH students assisted in dismantling, packing, and loading 100 sets of tables and chairs. At the destination, local students were also present to assist with reception and installation to shorten the time for arranging classrooms.

Equipment transportation is coordinated with HTL Transport Company to ensure goods arrive in Dak Lak as soon as possible.

During the journey, the group received support from the Ho Chi Minh City traffic police force, helping vehicles to circulate safely and promptly, so the group completed assembling computers and tables and chairs to hand over to Dong Khoi Secondary School on December 5.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry contributes 4.32 billion VND, exempts tuition fees for students in flood-affected areas

Previously, Associate Professor Dr. Phan Hong Hai - Principal of IUH, along with the school's staff and lecturers, donated more than 4.32 billion VND to Tuoi Tre newspaper to support people suffering heavy losses due to storms and floods in the Central region.

The amount was donated by the staff, civil servants, and workers, and partly by the school's Career Development Fund. For the school, this is not only material support but also a sincere sharing with our compatriots who are suffering from natural disasters.

Not only focusing on the community, the school also pays special attention to students whose families are affected by storms and floods, committing to accompany them so that no student has to interrupt their studies due to difficulties.

The school has received applications for tuition fee extension for the second semester of the 2025-2026 school year to promptly encourage students whose families suffered losses in the storm and flood.

"The school board will consider exempting 100% of second semester tuition fees for students whose families suffered heavy losses due to storms and floods this time," Mr. Hai added.
