1. Nha Trang University
In 2026, Nha Trang University will recruit 3,800 students for 71 training programs. Of which, there are 13 special training programs, including 6 programs ordered from businesses; 7 special programs (advanced - high quality) and 58 standard training programs.
Candidates can use one or more admission methods to a training program/major.
Nha Trang University applies the following admission methods: direct admission and priority admission according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training; considering the capacity assessment scores of Ho Chi Minh City National University and Hanoi National University in 2026 (scales of 1,200 and 150, respectively); considering the high school graduation exam scores in 2026. With the two methods of considering capacity assessment scores and graduation exam scores, the school applies English requirements for a number of majors and equivalent conversions according to the instructions of the Ministry of Education and Training.
Candidates with IELTS certificates will have their scores converted to English when considering their high school graduation exam scores. Notably, the admission combinations based on graduation exam scores almost all require Math and Literature. As for the English requirement, the school uses the English transcript score.
2. Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade
Mr. Pham Thai Son, Director of Admissions of Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade, said that in 2026, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade will maintain 5 admission methods including: Considering high school graduation exam scores; considering 3-year academic transcripts according to subject combinations; considering competency assessment test scores of Ho Chi Minh City National University; considering specialized competency assessment test scores of Ho Chi Minh City University of Education combined with academic transcripts according to subject combinations corresponding to each major; direct admission according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.
According to Mr. Son, maintaining a variety of admission methods is a suitable trend today, helping to expand opportunities for candidates and reduce exam pressure when not having to rely entirely on a single exam. "Flexible admission methods help schools adapt to changes in the high school graduation exam and capacity assessment in the coming years," said Mr. Son.
In particular, from 2026, the school will waive 100% of tuition fees for the entire course and support 3 million VND/month in living expenses for candidates admitted through direct admission.

From 2028, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade will stop considering high school transcripts and switch to a comprehensive capacity assessment method, combining high school transcript scores, high school graduation exam scores and Ho Chi Minh City National University's capacity assessment scores, converted into a scale with different proportions.
3. Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology
Associate Professor Dr. Bui Hoai Thang, Head of Training Department of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, said that the school's 2026 enrollment plan is basically unchanged from last year. According to Mr. Thang, most of the quota is still for the comprehensive admission method, based on academic results (including transcripts, high school graduation exams and competency assessment tests), along with academic achievements and cultural, sports and artistic activities of candidates.
“Technical adjustments related to score conversion or weighting, if any, will be announced by the school early so that candidates can be proactive in preparing their documents,” said Associate Professor Bui Hoai Thang.
Currently, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology applies two main admission methods: comprehensive admission, accounting for 95-99% of the total enrollment target, and direct admission/priority admission according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, accounting for about 1-5%.
The comprehensive admission method applies to groups of candidates: with or without the Ho Chi Minh City National University's capacity assessment test scores; graduated from high school abroad; using international admission certificates such as SAT, ACT, IB, A-Level...; or registering for international transfer programs (Australia, USA, New Zealand).
The minimum score for receiving applications for the combined admission method is 50 points (on a 100-point scale). Admission score calculation formula: Admission score = Academic score + Priority score (on a 100-point scale).
4. Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry
At Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry, Dr. Nguyen Trung Nhan, Head of Training Department, said that from 2026, the school will no longer consider each method separately but will apply a comprehensive admission method.
Accordingly, the results of academic records, high school graduation exam scores and capacity assessment test scores (Ho Chi Minh City National University) will be converted to a common scale, with different proportions for each component.
“After the Ministry of Education and Training has a specific plan, the school will develop a detailed 2026 enrollment plan, including a method of selecting candidates who do not take the competency assessment exam,” said Mr. Nhan.
Currently, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry is applying 4 admission methods: direct admission, review of academic records, review of graduation exam scores and review of competency assessment scores. When the new plan is implemented, the independent admission of each method will end.
5. Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine
In 2026, Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine plans to enroll 13 majors. Of which, the Medical major has two training programs (Medicine and English-enhanced Medicine); the Nursing major also has two programs (Nursing and Nursing specializing in Emergency Medicine outside the hospital).
The school plans to apply three admission methods: high school graduation exam scores, direct admission according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, and other methods.
According to the plan, all admission combinations use a 30-point scale, without coefficients, and require Math. The school does not apply the difference in standard scores between combinations. For admission majors with English in the combination, only the 2026 high school graduation exam scores will be used, not converted from foreign language certificates.
The expected enrollment target will increase compared to 2025 and will be announced in the 2026 enrollment plan. The school notes that the above content may be adjusted depending on actual conditions when completing enrollment information.
