Next year, the school is expected to continue recruiting based on 3 methods similar to last year, including: Direct admission, Based on Hanoi National University's capacity assessment test scores, Based on high school graduation exam scores.
In terms of high school graduation exam scores, the school plans to eliminate the C00 combination in 11 majors compared to last year, including: Journalism, Oriental Studies, Korean Studies, Management Science, Public Relations, Information Management, Tourism and Travel Services Management, Hotel Management, Office Management, International Studies, and Psychology.
In the 2025 admission season, the school announced that it would no longer consider admission based on the C00 combination in a series of majors. However, the information was released close to the high school graduation exam date, causing many candidates and parents to be upset. After that, the school announced that it would continue to consider admission based on the C00 combination.
In addition, in 2026, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities plans to eliminate the admission group D66 (Literature, Economic and Legal Education, English).
Thus, the school only considers the following combinations: D01 (Math, Literature, English), D04 (Math, Literature, Chinese), DD2 (Math, Literature, Korean), D06 (Math, Literature, Japanese), D14 (Literature, English, History), D15 (Literature, English, Geography), C00 (Literature, History, Geography).

The exam subjects for admission are as follows: D01 (math, literature, English), D04 (math, literature, Chinese), DD2 (math, literature, Korean), D06 (math, literature, Japanese), D14 (literature, English, history), D15 (literature, English, geography), C00 (literature, history, geography).
The formula for calculating admission scores to the school in 2026 is as follows:
Total score = (Subject 1 score + Subject 2 score + Subject 3 score x 2) x 3/4 + Encouragement points (if any) + priority points (if any).
In which, Subject 3 score is the score of the exam subject multiplied by 2 as specified for each major in the table above. The highest total score is 30 points.
Admission score = Total score achieved + priority points (if any).
