Vietnamese students affirm their position at the 2025 World Robotics Competition

2025 marks a successful year for young Vietnamese talents on the global robotics map, as national representative teams have achieved high results at two major international events: World Robot Olympiad (WRO) and Global Robotics Games (GRG).

These competitions gather hundreds of teams from all over the world . This year, Vietnam has 15 teams participating in WRO (ages 8 to 19) and 20 teams participating in GRG (ages 6 to 10).

The theme of WRO 2025 is “The Future of Robots”, requiring teams to develop robotic solutions to address global challenges, while integrating modern technology trends such as artificial intelligence (AI), automation and space exploration , attracting more than 500 teams from more than 95 countries and territories.

At the event, the Vietnamese representative teams achieved good and encouraging results. They are: Team HSRL-B3-02 (Bui Quoc Cuong - Doan Duc Hiep from Hung STEM Robotics Lab) reached Top 5/95 in the world in the Robo Mission category (age 14-19); Team WSHN.MT2.HSRL 01 reached Top 8/96 in the Robo Mission category (age 8-12); Team HSRL-B2-04 reached Top 8/112 in the Robo Mission category (age 11-15); Team HYPER reached Top 9/31 in the Future Innovator category (age 8-12) with a project aiming to improve the quality of life.

Previously in November, GRG 2025 was held in Singapore on November 17, 2025. The event had the participation of nearly 100 international teams. The Vietnamese representative teams also achieved encouraging results: NS PLUTO Team ( Hanoi Star Primary and Secondary School; Nguyen Hoang Minh, Nguyen Sieu Primary School) won the Championship in the MRI group); REX-T Team won Second Prize in the MRI group; KID ENGINEER 01 Team won Third Prize in the MRI group.

On this occasion, representatives of the competing teams shared that participating in international competitions is a great motivation for them to continue to innovate and develop practical robotic solutions.

In early 2025, with the support of the Embassy of Denmark, Viet Tinh Anh Joint Stock Company hosted national robotics competitions - World Robot Olympiad (WRO) and Global Robotics Games (GRG) - attracting 256 enthusiastic teams from across the country. The best teams were selected to participate in the International Finals in Singapore on November 26-28, 2025.
