According to the report, the State Audit has synchronously deployed many solutions, promoted administrative reform, applied information technology, artificial intelligence and big data analysis in auditing activities. The sector also publicized audit results, urged the implementation of recommendations and closely coordinated with ministries, branches and localities to avoid overlapping with inspection activities.
The State Audit has focused on auditing hot issues, areas with high potential risks, and areas prone to corruption and waste; at the same time, it has strengthened auditing of planning, management and land use, especially in urban areas. All audits require clarification of responsibilities, causes of waste and recommendations for handling.
In addition to the achieved results, the report also pointed out many shortcomings, such as slow and unrealistic allocation of regular expenditure estimates; arrangement of investment capital when conditions are not met; many projects are behind schedule and ineffective; the situation of using public assets for the wrong purposes, abandoning them or encroaching on them still occurs.
The State Auditor General said that in the coming time, he will continue to innovate auditing methods, strongly apply digital technology , and focus on thematic audits, areas of interest to public opinion and voters, contributing to improving the effectiveness of public financial management and preventing corruption and waste.
