According to journalist Nguyen Kim Khiem - General Director, Editor-in-Chief of Hanoi Radio and Television Station, the film "Sweet Alluvium" is part of the city's communication and propaganda activities to disseminate and raise people's awareness of the planning of Hanoi Capital for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, with the highlight being the Red River Landscape Avenue Axis - a project that brings momentum to the new development stage and is one of the symbols of the Capital in the new era.

The leader of Hanoi Radio and Television also said that in 2025, Hanoi Television Cinema Center has deployed the production of four films with four different themes: history-revolution, cyber security, folk legends and contemporary life. Of which, "Sweet Alluvial Land" is the closest work, but will leave a strong impression on the public.
The idea of making the film “Sweet Alluvium” comes from the strong movements of the capital Hanoi in recent years, especially in the areas along the Red River. The film project was formed very early and had a lot of time to prepare carefully before shooting in the autumn days of September with the desire to bring a work that reflects the breath of the times.

In 2025, the station's Television Cinema Center has developed four films with four different themes: history - revolution, cyber security, folk legends and contemporary life. Of which, "Sweet Alluvial Land" is the most familiar work, but will leave a strong impression on the public.
General Director, Editor-in-Chief of Hanoi Radio and Television Station Nguyen Kim Khiem.
The film “Sweet Alluvial Land” brings together a team of talented artists from many generations such as People's Artist Tien Dat; Meritorious Artists: Quach Thu Phuong, Minh Tuan, Anh Tho and actors: Linh Son, Ha Phuong Anh, Hoang Phuong, Dam Hang, Hoang Du Ka, Quoc Toan... creating a multi-colored picture, prominently depicting the qualities and personalities of the characters suitable for life along the river.
Through the use of cinematic language, the film helps the public and people better understand and agree with the strategic vision of taking the Red River as an important development axis of the city, bringing those views and visions closer to life through realistic slices and vivid stories of the characters in the film.

“Sweet Alluvium” tells the story of Ben hamlet, a riverside community with materials from their own lives, enriched by the ups and downs of each fate, each family, and the desires and aspirations of the people who have been attached to the Red River. In the turbulent flow of national history, that river has created the history of Thang Long - Hanoi. Not only is it a traffic artery, a source of water that nourishes a fertile alluvial land, but it has also formed a cultural center rich in identity.
Not only does it recreate the simple yet emotional rhythm of life in very familiar situations and cinematic scenes, the film also conveys the existing and potential beauty of a riverside land, helping viewers clearly feel the strategic vision of the Party Committee and the city government in moving towards harmonious development between urban and nature, both improving the environment and reviving the cultural and historical values associated with the legendary Red River.

From the stories in Ben hamlet, the film contributes to spreading the spirit of building a "green axis - cultural axis" and forming social consensus for the vision of "City on the Red River". Through a close-to-life storytelling style, the film emphasizes the role of the Red River as the cultural- economic -ecological vein of the Capital, where the streams carry alluvial particles to nourish life and inspire the process of change of a city that develops in a modern direction while still being rich in identity.
Choosing to tell the story in a gentle, poetic cinematic language, emphasizing the simple beauty of riverside life, incorporating into the film everyday details, from the alluvial ground, the market, the sound of boat building machines, and the Ben hamlet meals to create a space rich in emotions and connected with the values the Red River brings.
Director Manh Ha.
Belonging to the family-psychological genre, the film depicts the lives of riverside residents, but also conveys their tenacity, desire for change, and dreams of advancement. The setting is realistically exploited: from the old town to the riverside working-class neighborhoods - where traditional culture blends with modern urban life.

According to director Manh Ha, he: "Choosed to tell the story using a gentle, poetic cinematic language, emphasizing the simple beauty of riverside life, incorporating into the film everyday details, from the alluvial plains, the market, the sound of boat building machines, and the Ben hamlet meals to create a space rich in emotions and connected with the values the Red River brings."
As Hanoi plans to take the Red River as an important development axis in the new period, the changes of the city are clearly reflected in the daily life of the riverside community. The wild banks are gradually taking on a new look - urban areas, ecological areas, modern civilized landscapes opening up livelihood opportunities for the people.

And in that shift, the film reflects the change between past and present, where people both preserve the memory of the river and step across the threshold of a rapidly changing city.
The content of the first episodes of "Sweet Alluvium" introduced on the digital platforms of Hanoi Radio and Television quickly attracted attention and received many positive responses from the audience thanks to its close, emotional and humane narrative.
