In the context of many difficulties in production and business, paying attention to workers' lives is considered an important solution to help strengthen morale, create long-term attachment and stabilize human resources for businesses. Many units have begun to review and develop plans to pay salaries and Tet bonuses from the fourth quarter. Depending on the conditions, the rewards can be in cash or in kind, showing gratitude to the workers who directly contribute to the development of the business.
At a local enterprise, Ms. Nguyen Thi Duyen - Office Manager shared with Bac Ninh Newspaper and Radio and Television, this year's Binh Ngo Tet, each worker will receive a 13th month salary bonus based on seniority and performance, ranging from 100-300% of basic salary, equivalent to 5-15 million VND. More than 300 workers will receive Tet gifts worth 200-300 thousand VND. The union also coordinated with the company's leadership to review the list of workers in difficult circumstances to provide additional support.

At Peony Co., Ltd. in VSIP Industrial Park - a garment enterprise that is creating stable jobs for more than 2,300 workers with an average income of 12 million VND/person/month - taking care of Tet has become an annual cultural feature. In addition to the cash support, the company and the union also organized a year-end party with the participation of all leaders and workers. Ms. Vu Thi Dung, President of the Union, said that the enterprise spent about 100 million VND to organize a lucky draw program with many practical gifts, contributing to improving the lives of workers during Tet.
According to statistics from the Department of Labor and Employment (Department of Home Affairs), Bac Ninh currently has more than 26,000 operating enterprises, employing about 800,000 workers; industrial parks alone have more than 568,000 workers, of which 60% are workers from other provinces.
Surveys at many businesses show that, despite facing many challenges, most units still develop plans to award 13th month salary equal to or higher than the basic salary of 5-6 million VND/person, along with gifts from the union worth 200-300 thousand VND.
In addition, many businesses also allocate funds to support grassroots unions in organizing festivals, "Union meals", lucky draw programs, honoring outstanding workers and supporting difficult cases.
Mr. Tran Van Ha - Deputy Director of the Department of Home Affairs emphasized that the law does not require businesses to have Tet bonuses, but this is a meaningful gratitude after a year of hard work, helping workers have more income to prepare for Tet. Proper attention from businesses will help strengthen labor relations, limit disputes and collective work stoppages.
Currently, the Department of Home Affairs is drafting a document requesting businesses to report on the 2026 Tet salary and bonus situation, and to send it to the Ministry of Home Affairs before December 25. At the same time, it is closely monitoring the lives and labor relations to promptly handle arising issues.
Since the beginning of November, the Bac Ninh Provincial Labor Federation has also activated a plan to take care of Tet with the motto "All union members and workers have Tet, enjoy Tet". This year, the unit has allocated funds to give gifts (up to 1 million VND/gift) to workers in difficult circumstances; directed the grassroots union to actively mobilize enterprises to pay salaries and bonuses early; supported cases of work accidents; organized vehicles to take workers home for Tet.
Mr. Thach Van Chung, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation, said that this year, we strive for 100% of grassroots trade unions to organize "Tet Sum Vay" at enterprises and continue to expand the program "Trade Union Year-end Meal" worth 70,000 VND/meal, thereby contributing to raising morale, strengthening trust and motivation for workers.
