Enterprises donate breeding animals and animal feed to help Dak Lak farmers restore production

DNVN - On the afternoon of December 4, at the headquarters of the People's Committee of Base 2 (Tuy Hoa Ward), businesses operating in the livestock sector visited and presented breeding animals and animal feed to support people in Dak Lak province to restore production after the historic flood that caused heavy damage.

According to Dak Lak Newspaper, the program was attended by leaders of the Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine, the Department of Agriculture and Environment and the provincial Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine.

In this support, CP Vietnam Livestock Joint Stock Company donated 20,000 domestic chickens and 75 tons of animal feed with a total value of about 1 billion VND. De Heus Vietnam Co., Ltd. also contributed 20 tons of animal feed worth 300 million VND. Representatives of the businesses said they wanted to join hands to help people restore their flocks and livestock production as soon as possible after the natural disaster.

Speaking at the reception ceremony, Mr. Phan Quang Minh - Deputy Director of the Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine emphasized that the recent floods have caused serious damage to the livestock industry of Dak Lak, causing thousands of households to lose their main source of livelihood. This has greatly affected the lives, income and production stability of the people.

According to Mr. Minh, in the coming time, the Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine will continue to closely coordinate with localities to grasp the actual situation, provide technical guidance and propose solutions to restore sustainable production. At the same time, the unit will mobilize more businesses to support breeding animals, animal feed, disinfectants, etc. to help people have the conditions to quickly restore their herds.

On behalf of the locality, Ms. Dang Thi Thuy - Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment expressed her deep gratitude to the businesses that have accompanied the people in difficult times. She said that this support is not only material but also a great source of spiritual encouragement, helping people confidently overcome the damage after natural disasters.

The Department will closely coordinate with relevant units to distribute breeds and animal feed to the right subjects, in the right needs and as quickly as possible, contributing to helping farmers soon stabilize their lives and production.
