Leaders of Bac Ninh province visited the fruit garden in Chu ward.

BAC NINH - On the afternoon of December 5, the provincial leadership delegation including comrades: Nguyen Viet Oanh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Pham Hoang Son, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Tran Huy Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee; Le Xuan Loi, Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Dinh Loi, Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission visited the fruit tree production model and tourism combination in Chu ward.

The provincial delegation visited the fruit garden of Mr. Nguyen Van Huu's family in Xe Cu residential group, Chu ward. Mr. Huu's family has more than 10 hectares of citrus trees, including many varieties such as: green-skinned grapefruit, sweet grapefruit, red grapefruit and some types of oranges. In this crop, the family's citrus output reached nearly 300 tons of fruit.

At the fruit festival opening tonight (December 5), a sweet grapefruit tree of his family was selected to participate in the auction to raise funds to support people affected by floods and storms. His family's citrus garden is also a place where Thanh Hai Agricultural Production and Tourism Trade Cooperative brings visitors to visit and experience. During the year-end harvest season, his family welcomes about 300 - 400 visitors/day, even up to nearly 1,000 visitors on some days.

Through visiting the garden and chatting, the provincial leaders acknowledged and highly appreciated the bold spirit of innovation and determination to develop the economy of the family, especially in proactively changing the crop structure, selecting new varieties with high productivity and quality for production; researching and applying techniques to improve efficiency and quality. This demonstrates the flexible thinking, daring to think and dare to do of farmers in the period of developing commodity agriculture and needs to be replicated.
