Bac Ninh Fruit Festival opens, contributes more than 630 million to support flood victims in Central Highlands

The Bac Ninh Fruit Festival 2025 not only honors agricultural products and promotes agricultural tourism but also raises over 630 million VND to support people in the Central Highlands.

On the evening of December 5, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province held the opening ceremony of the Bac Ninh Fruit Festival 2025 - Quintessence of Vietnamese agricultural products, lasting from now until December 10.

This is an opportunity to honor the famous products of Bac Ninh, connect gardeners - businesses - cooperatives with the distribution system, at the same time promote the image of a rich, dynamic, and unique Bac Ninh and promote agricultural tourism.

According to Mr. Pham Van Thinh - Vice Chairman of Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee, the province is very proud that agriculture is transforming towards a more modern and green direction.

Currently, the locality has nearly 54,000 hectares of fruit trees, with an output of more than 80,000 tons and a value of about 1,800 billion VND.

Of which, the area of ​​VietGAP standard oranges is over 1,700 hectares, VietGAP standard grapefruit is over 3,700 hectares and more than 780 OCOP products are vivid proof of the locality's efforts to improve agricultural products.

Bac Ninh Fruit Festival is designed in an open and experiential way, helping visitors not only watch, but also "live" in the ripe fruit season.

At the opening ceremony, the organizers auctioned 4 orange trees, raising 631 million VND to transfer to the Fatherland Front Committee of Bac Ninh province to support people in the Central Highlands and Central Vietnam to overcome the consequences of natural disasters.

To support people visiting the festival and fruit growing areas, Bac Ninh province arranged 25 free buses departing from 3/2 Square (Bac Giang Ward) and Bac Ninh Museum No. 2 (Kinh Bac Ward), operating from December 6 to 10.
