SEA Games 33 reporter suffers with host Thailand for 'oh my god' reason

Reporters working at SEA Games 33 were unexpectedly not allowed onto the field by the organizing committee because they did not bring... the white shirt given by the host country.

On the afternoon of December 6, the match between U22 Malaysia and U22 Laos in Group B of the men's football SEA Games 33 took place at Rajamangala Stadium. However, right before the match, the organizers suddenly asked the group of reporters who wanted to go to the field to cover the match to bring the white shirts that they had given in a shared gift box beforehand.

From the first day (December 3), the group of reporters wore white shirts, but the host country did not need them and asked them to submit their passports to exchange for additional cards and get their Bib shirts to go down to the field. The reporters happily complied to get their cards to go into the field to work.

However, after 3 days of working, today the organizing committee "turned around" and required the group of reporters to wear white shirts to get additional passes to go down to the field.

The group of reporters tried to explain and present their passports as they had done in previous days, but were refused. It is worth noting that the organizers did not notify the reporters in advance, making the work extremely passive.

Most of the reporters were far from the hotel, only a few who lived nearby were able to run back in time to get their papers and go into the yard to work.

Since the start of the 33rd SEA Games, the host country’s organization has caused the group of reporters to face many difficulties. The men’s football event of the 33rd SEA Games took place on December 3, but on that day the reporters were only given their press cards to work. This is the first time this has happened.
