The Hua Mak Sports Complex, located east of Bangkok, is poised to be the focal point of the 33rd Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games). With its vast scale, it will host most of the competitions, from archery, track cycling, swimming, diving to volleyball, boxing and football.
The highlight of the complex is the Hua Mak Stadium, which was built for the 1966 Asian Games. After renovations, the stadium now has a capacity of about 8,000 seats, down from the original 15,000.

In particular, the dome of the stadium is not made of concrete but is "woven" from a giant stretch canvas, creating a unique harmony between modern technology and flexible design. This will be the "stage" where the Vietnamese women's volleyball team, with the participation of Thanh Thuy, will compete.

Inside, the column-free architecture ensures unobstructed views from every stand, along with optimal lighting, sound and climate systems, providing a professional, international-standard competition space.

The roads leading to the competition venue were decorated with flags bearing the symbol of the congress, creating a vibrant atmosphere.

Next to Hua Mak Gymnasium is an outdoor swimming pool complex, where swimming and diving events take place. Vietnamese swimmer Nguyen Huy Hoang will compete here with the goal of winning a Gold Medal.

All the seats have new upholstery, the walls have been painted, and the organizing team is actively monitoring and checking the facilities to ensure everything is in the best condition.

Not far away is the cycling track, where athletes will compete in dramatic speed races.

A model for sport climbing has also been set up outdoors, right next to the main Rajamangala Stadium.

In the center of the complex, Rajamangala Stadium stands out as a major highlight. This "fire bowl" has witnessed many top matches of Thai football and memorable moments of Vietnamese football. With a capacity of more than 50,000 seats, Rajamangala is one of the most modern sports facilities in Thailand. At the 33rd SEA Games, the stadium will host the opening ceremony on the evening of December 9, and will also host all men's football matches in Group A, Group B and the medal round.

In the afternoon sunlight that covered Hua Mak, each item was gradually completed, each wall was covered with the final coat of paint, each row of seats was polished clean. In just a few days, this place will truly become the meeting point of the Southeast Asian sports spirit.
