This is the first time that Vietnam has won the men’s doubles championship in a tournament under the prestigious PPA Tour Asia system. This achievement is the clearest proof of the remarkable development and international competitive potential of Vietnamese tennis players.
Entering the match, Vinh Hien - Minh Quan let their opponents lead in the first few plays. The Vietnamese pair quickly regained their rhythm, attacked strongly and shocked everyone by taking a 7-1 lead.
However, the experience of the world's number one seed duo Staksrud - Bhatia came into play at the right time, shortening the gap and turning the tables spectacularly, winning 12-10 in the tense first set.
In set 2, the Vietnamese men's doubles team, although a bit nervous, still played with discipline. They adjusted their tactics, avoided rushing to the net, and focused on controlling and counter-attacking with purpose. This reasonable approach helped the Vinh Hien - Minh Quan pair win 11-6, bringing the match to the deciding third set.
Entering the decisive set, Vinh Hien - Minh Quan completely took the initiative to control the match's tempo, constantly pressuring their opponents with flexible and tactical play. The Staksrud - Bhatia duo was forced to constantly defend in a passive state, facing difficulties with the combination of long-lasting tug-of-wars and precise shots.
With absolute dominance, the Vietnamese pair quickly dominated and secured an overwhelming victory of 11-5. The convincing 2-1 final victory helped Vinh Hien - Minh Quan officially bring home the PPA Tour Asia Men's Doubles Championship title for the first time in history for Vietnamese pickleball.

The victory of Truong Vinh Hien and Do Minh Quan in the men's doubles final helped Vietnam pickleball have a day of many titles. Not long before, Ly Hoang Nam also excellently won the Pro men's singles championship after a 2-0 victory over the host player Jack Wong (China).
Two titles in the same day show remarkable maturity, mark an important milestone and clearly affirm that Vietnamese pickleball is on the right track, ready to compete fairly in the international arena.
