U22 Vietnam receives good news before facing Malaysia

(NLDO) - Midfielder Nguyen Xuan Bac returned to training with the Vietnam U22 team on December 6, preparing for the important match with Malaysia U22 in Group B.

After a day off to recover, the U22 Vietnam team continued to practice in preparation for the important match against U22 Malaysia in Group B of the men's football event of the 33rd SEA Games.

Good news for U22 Vietnam when midfielder Nguyen Xuan Bac returned to practice with the team on December 6. This player was injured and forced to leave the field in the first half of the opening match against U22 Laos. After care, physical therapy and rehabilitation at the hotel, Xuan Bac was able to meet the training schedule with the team.

Despite the hot weather in Bangkok, the training session still took place at a high intensity as required by the coaching staff. In addition to tactical coordination exercises, U22 Vietnam spent a lot of time on half-court competition and practicing finishing skills.

Talking about the areas that need improvement for U22 Vietnam, midfielder Pham Minh Phuc frankly admitted: “In the previous match, the team created many opportunities but the finishing and final passes were still not good. This is something the whole team is trying to improve every day.”

Minh Phuc said the team spirit is very relaxed and full of determination towards the next match of the group stage. Evaluating U22 Malaysia, the 21-year-old winger said that directly observing the match between Malaysia and Laos will help the coaching staff have more data to build a suitable plan.

Minh Phuc is on fire in his first time participating in SEA Games 33.

Minh Phuc was the player who had a spectacular sprint on the right wing before dribbling the ball to "set up" his teammate to score the opening goal in the 2-1 win over U22 Laos. SEA Games 33 is also the first time Minh Phuc has participated in this tournament. The midfielder of Hanoi Police said: "I am really looking forward to this tournament and will try my best to contribute to the team."

Minh Phuc said coach Kim Sang-sik always tells his players to be calm and decisive when handling situations near the goal, this is also a key factor to increase attack efficiency.
