Entering the final match of PPA Asia Tour Hangzhou 2025, Ly Hoang Nam faced opponent Jack Wong on the afternoon of December 6.
At the start of the match, the Vietnamese player was behind 0-4, but he rose strongly, shortening the gap to 1-4 and then equalizing 4-4 with Jack Wong. Taking advantage of the momentum, the Vietnamese player took the lead 7-4 and ended the match 11-4 when his opponent made consecutive mistakes due to pressure.
In the second set, despite letting his opponent open the score first, Ly Hoang Nam immediately equalized 1-1, then broke away to create a big gap of 7-1, 9-1. However, Ly Hoang Nam's championship was not as easy as imagined thanks to the big advantage, when the gap between the two in the second set was shortened to 4-9.
Vietnam's No. 1 tennis player played resiliently, forcing his opponent to make mistakes and won impressively 11-4, ending the match in China.

Closing with a 2-0 victory over Jack Wong, Ly Hoang Nam won a PPA Tour tournament for the first time after participating in 5 tournaments of the system.
In this tournament, Ly Hoang Nam defeated Shimabukuro in the first round, Kenta Miyoshi and then world number 2 Staksrud in the semi-finals with the same score of 2-0.
Before that, Nam had missed out twice against his fellow countrymen. He lost to Phuc Huynh at the PPA Tour Vietnam, then lost to Vinh Hien at the PPA Tour Australia final.
