"After a day of rest, the U22 Vietnam players are in high spirits and determined to return to training to prepare for the upcoming match against U22 Malaysia. On the afternoon of December 6th, the whole team will go to the stadium to watch U22 Malaysia play against U22 Laos, thereby gaining a more thorough assessment of the opponent. Coach Kim Sang Sik will also conduct an analysis to help the team prepare tactics for the final group stage match," defender Minh Phuc said.
Despite being a newcomer, Minh Phúc is highly anticipated in the Vietnam U22 team. He scored the only goal for Vietnam U22 against China U22 at the Panda Cup 2025.

"This is my first time participating in the SEA Games , and I'm very excited. I'm trying my best to contribute to Vietnamese football. We're trying to show our abilities and play our best in the match against U22 Malaysia."
In the previous match against U22 Laos, we had many positive aspects such as controlling the game and creating quite a few opportunities, but we also need to improve our final passes and finishing. In the upcoming training sessions, the coach will give more detailed instructions. The coach told the players that when approaching the opponent's goal, they must remain calm and decisive," the CAHN player expressed his determination.
Before the match against U22 Malaysia, Minh Phuc said that he and his teammates were very enthusiastic in cheering for the Vietnamese women's team: "On the evening of December 5th, while the team was having dinner, we got to watch the Vietnamese women's team play against Malaysia. I would like to congratulate them on their first victory at the SEA Games, and wish the women's team continued success and to win the gold medal."
