
Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism and Grab Vietnam have just signed a cooperation agreement to coordinate in promoting tourism and destinations in Ho Chi Minh City.
Within the framework of cooperation, the two sides will coordinate to utilize digital platforms to enhance tourist experiences with seamless, convenient and safe services, while promoting digital transformation in the tourism sector, creating new development momentum for the City's tourism industry in the digital age.
Ms. Bui Thi Ngoc Hieu, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, said: The cooperation between the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism and Grab Vietnam is in line with the digital transformation orientation of Ho Chi Minh City tourism. We will take advantage of digital platforms such as Grab to effectively promote tourism and enhance the tourist experience throughout the journey of discovery , while supporting destination units to reach tourists more conveniently.
This cooperation agreement affirms Grab's active role in contributing to the development of tourism and culinary service quality in Ho Chi Minh City.
Ms. Nguyen Thanh Anh, Director of Marketing and Corporate Commerce, Grab Vietnam, shared: Ho Chi Minh City is a large market for Grab in Vietnam, with a series of safe, quality, and reliable daily services and a wide network of merchant partners, able to bring domestic and international users the best experience.
Deploying digital marketing to promote tourism and destinations in Ho Chi Minh City
Within the framework of cooperation, the two sides will cooperate in implementing digital marketing to promote tourism and destinations in Ho Chi Minh City through online and offline communication channels of both sides, suitable for tourist groups and local cuisine.
At the same time, coordinate to support digital transformation for local restaurants and eateries to promote digitalization and improve the quality of local cuisine, creating conditions for many eateries to participate in Grab's digital platform.
The two sides cooperate to enhance tourism experiences for people and tourists through integrating tourist maps and introducing tourism service packages on the Grab application.
Grab will also accompany and support large-scale tourism events in Ho Chi Minh City, especially important cultural and social events.
To kick off the cooperation, within the framework of Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Week taking place from December 5, Grab will accompany the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism to implement communication activities for the program "Each tourism service business unit is a friendly destination" in 2025. This cooperation will help enhance communication effects, attract public participation, and contribute to improving service quality and tourism experiences in Ho Chi Minh City.
In recent times, Grab has been actively strengthening cooperation with authorities at all levels to promote digital transformation in many fields, not only to better serve users but also to join hands with agencies and sectors to create new momentum for sustainable socio-economic development.
In the tourism sector, Grab has signed cooperation agreements with Hue City, Da Nang City and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hai Phong City to promote digital transformation of the local tourism industry and support businesses and small traders to improve their digital skills. These cooperation agreements are creating new growth drivers, helping specialized units and Grab coordinate to implement projects to promote effective and sustainable tourism growth for localities.
