In 2025, there will be many changes at the grassroots level due to the reorganization of the apparatus according to the 2-level local government model, the implementation of site clearance for large projects, handling environmental issues and implementing social policies. The war veterans in the province will continue to demonstrate their important role. Comrade Nguyen Anh Loc, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Veterans Association, said: "With 179,245 members, operating in 104 communes, wards and Party and government agencies, war veterans are present in all localities, becoming the force that grasps the population situation the fastest and most deeply. With the prestige, experience and responsibility of Uncle Ho's soldiers, the associations at all levels have focused on closely following the grassroots level, proactively grasping the ideological developments of members and people, promptly advising, propagating, and flexibly implementing the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws and the guidance of the Central Committee of the Vietnam War Veterans Association". The Veterans Association at all levels has effectively participated in resolving many complicated issues at the grassroots level. The handling of complaints and denunciations during the year was completely resolved, without being left unsolved for a long time. The Associations at all levels also proactively propagated and mobilized people to agree with the policy of implementing important projects of the province, especially projects with large volumes of land clearance, places where frustration and disunity in the community can easily arise, contributing to maintaining security and order at the grassroots level. In Vu Thu commune, an area with many arterial roads running through, with frequent hotspots of traffic safety risks, the traffic self-management team model of the Commune Veterans Association has clearly demonstrated its role. Elderly veterans with extensive experience have persistently stood guard at important intersections such as Tham bridge intersection, La bridge... during rush hour, supporting traffic flow, reminding people to comply with the law on road traffic safety. The enthusiasm and responsibility of the War Veterans Association members participating in the self-management groups have significantly contributed to preventing traffic jams and serious accidents in the area, raising awareness of law compliance among all classes of people and protecting peace for each family. Not only in Vu Thu, the Provincial War Veterans Association has developed a widespread self-management network, creating a "soft shield" to protect security and safety for the community. Currently, the whole province has 566 self-management war veteran groups on security and order with 2,870 members; 594 self-management groups on traffic order and safety with 3,564 members; and 431 self-management groups and clubs for environmental protection attracting 2,598 members. With a large force, the war veterans stick to the area, know people, know the work, and promptly intervene in complex problems that can easily arise in residential areas very effectively. In 2025, the self-governing groups of the Veterans Association coordinated patrols and propaganda on 175 routes and 27 schools, contributing to raising people's awareness of law compliance and curbing violations among teenagers. With the "slow and steady wins the race" method, the Veterans Association members mobilized people to collect 13.5 kg of firecrackers, 1 kg of firecrackers, 3 guns, 41 bullets, 31 primitive weapons, 7 support tools, and materials that pose a risk of accidents and violence in the community.

In 2026, the Provincial Veterans Association clearly identified key tasks and focused on implementation, such as continuing to firmly grasp the grassroots. Maintaining the ideological foundation, steadfastly participating in protecting the Party and the government, promoting the exemplary veteran movement, skillfully mobilizing the people, consolidating and improving the effectiveness of self-management models and social supervision and criticism work. On the front of political stability and social order and safety at the grassroots level, the provincial Veterans Association continues to affirm its pioneering role, quietly but effectively, contributing to building a sustainable local development in the new period.
