Banks with the responsibility of "Digital Literacy"

Implementing Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on Breakthrough in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation is of great significance in the goal of bringing the country into a new era. Along with that, the Digital Literacy Movement is becoming one of the key factors, contributing to promoting economic and social development on a macro scale.

Improving digital skills helps people easily access information, technology services and modern digital platforms anytime, anywhere, helping the State to enhance effective management. This not only contributes to narrowing the digital gap between regions but also promotes the widespread participation of all classes in the digital economy , increasing labor productivity and improving the quality of life.

Actively responding to the Digital Literacy Movement, units from all resources and sectors across the country have proactively developed plans and concretized them into projects and action programs suitable to the realities of each locality and unit.

In particular, the banking industry, as an important capital channel and the center of the digital economy, has many responsibilities in leading the digital transformation process. In recent times, banks have been one of the active pioneering forces, contributing to the completion of the national digital ecosystem. The policies and movements launched by the State Bank have contributed to accelerating the digital transformation of banks, creating a corridor for banks to increase investment in budget, resources, infrastructure and realize digitalization strategies with distinct advantages.

From an internal movement

AtSHB , to realize the goal of comprehensive digital transformation, the bank always determines to simultaneously implement the following tasks: innovation, providing modern digital products and services to customers, while promoting the spirit of progress, improving professional capacity and science and technology, promoting the staff to become "experts" in the field of digital finance.

SHB is one of the pioneering banks in digital transformation strategy, applying modern technologies such as AI, Big data, machine learning... to products, services and internal processes, improving productivity.

The bank has brought the digital transformation strategy to all employees. To quickly create positive and substantial impacts, SHB regularly organizes training programs and emulation movements across the bank. This activity not only improves the general knowledge base on digitalization and digital products, but also seeks and develops innovative ideas and practical applications in the bank's operations.

Notably, SHB quickly promoted the internal emulation movement with "From the Heart to Use the Mind". Every year, the competition attracts hundreds of innovative ideas. From here, many excellent ideas have been awarded by SHB and effectively applied in all areas of the bank's operations, thereby improving operational efficiency in the direction of digitalization, modernity and professionalism, shortening many processes while still ensuring confidentiality and cost savings.

To superior products for external customers

One of the typical products born from the creative and innovative ideas of SHB staff over time listening to customers' opinions in SHB's strong and comprehensive transformation journey is SLINK.

All resources of SHB have been strongly deployed and coordinated to complete and launch the service to the market. The collection service via SLINK identified account is a technology solution that supports businesses in managing revenue and cash flow through identified accounts. Up to now, SHB's SLINK is being used by hundreds of large businesses along with dozens of schools, education systems, large hospitals...

With the motto "Taking customers and the market as the center", SHB is accelerating digital transformation, applying the most advanced modern technologies to the customer experience journey, digital products and services are "tailored" specifically to suit the needs of hospitals, schools, administrative units... supporting and accompanying the country's digital transformation.

Up to now, hundreds of public service units, including schools, hospitals, state organizations, state-owned enterprises, etc., have trusted and used SHB's products and services. Financial solutions for public service units apply modern technology, integrating payment functions with management software, helping units promote digital transformation, saving resources and time in payment management and effective financial management.

SHB is also one of the first joint stock banks to sign a cooperation agreement and quickly implement electronic bilateral payments with the State Treasury. The bank also cooperated with the General Department of Taxation to implement the electronic personal tax/fee payment service via the eTax Mobile application, along with many activities accompanying the community in the national digital transformation process.

The popularity of SHB digital products has actively contributed to helping people access digitalization conveniently and effectively, helping businesses optimize operations and business development.

With efforts to digitize and bring digital products to the people, in recent times, the proportion of transactions via digital channels and online platforms of SHB has continuously increased among the top groups in the industry. To date, more than 95% of SHB's operations and processes have been digitized. More than 98% of transactions of individual and corporate customers are carried out entirely through digital channels such as Mobile banking and Internet banking.

With a strong and comprehensive transformation process in products and digital solutions, SHB has continuously received important awards, effectively demonstrating the bank's strategic vision: the award "Outstanding Innovation in Corporate Payments" honored by Digital Banker, "Bank with the Best Payment Solution Initiative in Vietnam", according to The Asian Banker Magazine, or "Most Outstanding Digital Platform Experience - Cash Flow Management Platform category" and "Best Application of Technology for Digital Experience" at the Digital CX Awards 2024...

SHB's close coordination with the State Bank, public administrative units and adherence to the Party and State's policies in recent times has contributed to actively spreading, propagating and realizing digital initiatives, bringing digital products to practically appear in all aspects of people's lives. More importantly, the awareness of learning and proactively accessing technology has been spread and enhanced in the community, towards a modern, dynamic and strongly developing digital society.

Digital literacy is a common responsibility of the whole society, an important stepping stone to build a sustainable digital economy. And banks, as the financial lifeline, are one of the first and important links to bring the movement to practical existence and bring about clear progress in people's lives in the digital age.
