Strengthening school-enterprise linkage in training high-quality human resources

Overview of the workshop.

Attending the workshop were representatives of Yen Son commune leaders, leaders of the Provincial Business Association, Yen Son Regional Business Association; school leaders and many enterprises, production and business establishments in the area.

Established in 2003, after more than 22 years of construction and development, Tuyen Quang Technical and Technology Vocational College has been recognized by the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs for 5 key occupations at the international and national levels such as: Industrial Electricity, Automotive Technology, Information Technology, Agricultural Management, Construction Engineering. In 2021, the Provincial People's Committee approved the Project to build the school into a training facility for high-quality technical human resources in the province.

At the workshop, delegates exchanged and shared information on labor recruitment needs, vocational skill requirements and coordination mechanisms between businesses and schools in organizing training, internships and recruiting students after graduation. Currently, Tuyen Quang Technical and Technology Vocational College trains 27 occupations at 3 levels: elementary, intermediate and college with a scale of more than 1,800 students; the employment rate of graduates is over 94%.

Speaking at the workshop, the leaders of the Provincial Business Association and delegates unanimously affirmed: Strengthening the connection between schools and businesses is an important solution to implement Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW of the Party Central Committee (13th tenure) on breakthroughs in education and training development, developing high-quality human resources; fundamentally and comprehensively innovating vocational education in an open and flexible direction linked to the needs of the economy and businesses, while perfecting mechanisms and policies to encourage businesses to deeply participate in the training process.

Leaders of Yen Son Area Business Association gave gifts to Laotian students studying at the school.

The workshop contributed to forming a network of "State - School - Business - Scientists", aiming to improve the quality of human resources to serve the socio-economic development of the province.

Before that, the delegates and businesses visited the lecture halls, the Electricity, Electronics, Information Technology workshops; visited the Welding workshop and the Automotive Technology workshop of the school.
