As a small-scale underground mining unit with very complex geological conditions, in order to perform well its production and business tasks, in recent years, Company 790 has always overcome the limited mining conditions, proactively innovated techniques, and effectively applied scientific and technological advances to production. Each year, the Company has spent tens of billions of VND to invest and purchase additional modern equipment for production. With this approach, the unit's mining technology is currently relatively modern, meeting the development needs in the new period.

In production, Company 790 applies appropriate technology, ensuring safety and high mobility in main shafts and narrow production areas. Along with that, the unit always attaches importance to fully exploiting resources, avoiding loss and improving coal quality. This way, the unit's resource recovery rate is always at the highest level, contributing to saving production costs and reducing investment costs per ton of coal. Thanks to that, since the first years of establishment, the Company's annual coal mining output has always exceeded the plan. The Company is classified as the unit that continuously leads the Corporation in terms of coal quality and quality.

The mining departments have done well in ventilation, mine gas control procedures, water and gas exploration drilling, column pressure testing, coal mining techniques, single hydraulic support columns, excavation techniques, mine support, industrial explosives management, electromechanical work, operation of equipment with strict specific requirements... The transportation workshops have done well in technical inspection of motorbikes, welding and cutting procedures, repair of machinery and equipment, inspection of waste dumps, mining embankments...

In order to encourage and motivate cadres, workers and employees to overcome difficulties and enthusiastically produce, every year, the Party Committee and the Board of Directors of the company have launched and effectively implemented emulation movements to win and sudden emulation movements suitable to the practical conditions of the enterprise. A vibrant emulation atmosphere is created throughout the workshops and construction sites. The content of the emulation movements focuses on improving productivity and quality of raw coal mining; eliminating incidents, ensuring safety in production; applying technical advances, reducing product costs...

And once again, they have affirmed the determination of the miners, contributing to the development of the Company.

Young man Nguyen Van Duoc, a level 3/5 miner at the No. 2 Underground Mining Site, is one of such typical examples. After graduating from the Huu Nghi Mining Vocational College (now the Vietnam Coal and Minerals Vocational College), Duoc applied to work at Company 790. Being used to farming in his hometown, when he first went to the mine, Duoc was surprised by the small, dark and cramped tunnels. However, the attention of the commander and the encouragement and help of his colleagues helped him overcome the initial difficulties. And above all, Duoc found joy in his own work, increasingly loving the mining profession and the Mining Region. He was proud that he was both a soldier and a worker, so he constantly strived and devoted himself to his unit and the Corporation.

With his own continuous efforts, the young man Nguyen Van Duoc, from a miner, has become the head of the production team of the No. 2 underground mining site with an output of over 150,000 tons/year, accounting for nearly 2/3 of the total output of the Company. Overcoming difficulties due to increasingly deep mining areas, complex geological conditions, many tunnels sinking so it is necessary to regularly prevent subsidence and reinforce... he and his team members have always strived to mine coal with quality, efficiency and safety.

Over the years, his production team has always been the leader in the output of the Construction Site. In particular, digging a 7.5m2 cross-section tunnel, the average productivity per person per shift is 0.4m of tunnel. For stratified coal cutting, his team also achieved a labor productivity of 5.5 tons per person/shift. He himself always works enough working days in a month from 24-26 working days with an average salary of over 33.8 million VND/month.

Not only that, he is a team leader who always researches and learns technical safety measures, analyzes potential dangers; actively coaches, trains, and helps new workers improve their qualifications and skills. Not only is he recognized as a skilled worker, but for many consecutive years, Mr. Duoc has been awarded the title of Emulation Fighter at the grassroots level, and a typical young face at the General Corporation level.

Typical examples such as miner Nguyen Van Duoc are increasingly appearing in Company 790. That comes from the strategy of investing in people, paying attention to human resources, and taking care of the material and spiritual life of the Company's employees. Along with the tasks of production and business, completing military and defense tasks well, ensuring stable income, the Company takes care of the material and spiritual life of its officers, employees, and workers.

In particular, the workers have promoted the qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers, completing every task, overcoming every difficulty, completing production and business plans as well as ensuring national defense.

Company 790 is a prestigious and long-standing brand under the Dong Bac Corporation. Company 790 was formerly the Quang Ninh Coal Team under the 11th Army Corps from 1988-1990. Enterprise 790 was established under Construction Company 11 - General Department of Logistics. In 1994, Coal Mining Enterprise 790 was transferred to the Dong Bac Corporation. And in 2010, Coal Mining Enterprise 790 became Company 790.

In the early days of its establishment, the Company focused on mining coal to supply the Military Logistics sector. From the initial confusion, the unit faced many difficulties such as: The team, officers and workers were both lacking and weak because they had no experience in coal production; limited financial resources, outdated mining technology, no advantage in resources, small, scattered and narrow mining areas. However, with the tradition of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", the soldiers and workers were united, overcoming the most difficult days to build the unit to develop more and more.

Every year, the Company researches and applies scientific and technological advances to production, proactively innovates, and has many technical improvement initiatives applied.
