Regiment 244 (under the Provincial Military Command) stationed in Uong Bi City, was assigned to receive and train new soldiers from provinces under Military Region 3. In the past time, the unit has proactively prepared in all aspects, organized a thoughtful reception, contributing to helping soldiers get acquainted with the new regulations, military uniforms, personal military supplies and common items were arranged in an orderly and neat manner; internal affairs were also guided by cadres to be arranged neatly and uniformly. The unit also quickly organized for new soldiers to learn about their second home, many activities such as visiting the landscape and environment, introducing the traditions of the unit have added motivation and inspiration for new soldiers to feel secure in their attachment, reducing their homesickness and missing their families.
The cadres and commanders at all levels, especially the cadres directly managing and training, must regularly care for, encourage and look after new soldiers, consider them as their own relatives in the family, be exemplary in their manners and words and actions before the troops, be close and friendly, and wholeheartedly guide new soldiers in performing the prescribed tasks and regimes. In addition, many cultural and artistic activities must be organized, thereby helping new soldiers quickly integrate into the military environment, considering it as their "second home".
We arrived at Regiment 244 while on the training ground, the new soldiers of the unit were enthusiastically practicing. What impressed us was that during the break time, the training ground was filled with the sound of music and singing, extremely lively. Taking advantage of the breaks between training sessions, the new soldiers gathered in groups to sing songs that evoked the homeland, the country, and the tradition of Uncle Ho's soldiers. The cultural and artistic activities organized by the unit were rich spiritual food, helping the new soldiers to be more attached to the unit, determined to complete the assigned tasks well. Participating in cultural and artistic activities organized by the unit was an opportunity for each soldier to express and improve himself, meeting the requirements of the work tasks in the new situation.
Lieutenant Colonel Ta Van Dung, Commander of Regiment 244, said: The most difficult training environment is in the first 3 months, new soldiers will also be trained in physical strength, learn the regulations on troop management and be equipped with basic knowledge of military, politics , logistics and technology. At times like these, there will be songs of encouragement that will give soldiers more strength to overcome difficulties and challenges to complete their missions.
In recent times, the Regiment has always paid attention to organizing cultural and artistic activities in many forms, such as organizing for new soldiers to practice, maintaining 15 songs; 5 folk dances in the activities of the Army; organizing cultural exchanges during breaks, holidays, and keeping the tradition alive; integrating into comrades' birthdays, common activities... Thereby, helping new soldiers quickly integrate into the military environment; at the same time, effectively propagating andeducating soldiers about love for their homeland and country, the honor and pride of wearing the green uniform.
The regiment also regularly coordinates with the sectors and localities where the unit is stationed to organize cultural and artistic exchange programs. Through these exchange programs, officers and soldiers have useful relaxing moments, while strengthening the bond between the army and the people.
