It is known that in the previous competition days of the tournament, this couple also won a silver medal in the Latin D category and a bronze medal in the Latin C category - middle age group 2.
This impressive achievement is even more meaningful when on May 3, the couple also entered the Top 30 best Latin dance couples in the world in the middle age group. This is a testament to the efforts and constantly improving professional level of Vietnamese Dancesport athletes in the international arena.
Athlete Nguyen My Trang emotionally shared with the press that she felt proud and satisfied because her and her teammates' efforts were duly rewarded when they reached the highest position in the world arena.
Nguyen My Trang and Pham Trung Hoa have just officially stepped onto the highest podium of the 2025 Middle Age Games.
"I am very moved and want to share this joy and pride with everyone, especially those who are middle-aged and elderly. For me, participating in the Middle Age Games is a valuable opportunity to explore my limits and overcome them. Not only stopping at medals, we want to spread the spirit of " sports for life" - as the slogan of the World Masters Games: Sports Beyond Age, Life Without Limits, to encourage people to maintain physical activity at all ages." Athlete Nguyen My Trang confided.
The World Masters Games is an international multi-sport event for athletes aged 30 and over, held every four years under the coordination of the International Sports for Older People Association (IMGA). The aim of the event is to promote an active, healthy and sustainable lifestyle for everyone, regardless of skill level or nationality.
This tournament marks an important milestone, as this is the first time the World Masters Games are held in Asia, specifically in the two cities of Taipei and New Taipei (Taiwan, China). The event brings together more than 25,000 athletes from 108 countries, competing in 35 different sports.
DanceSport will take place from May 27 to 30 at the Taipei Arena multi-purpose stadium (Taiwan, China).
