On the afternoon of June 2, Da Nang FC decided to fire coach Phan Thanh Hung. He was replaced by coach Pham Minh Duc. Mr. Pham Minh Duc used to lead two teams in V-League, Hanoi FC and Hong Linh Ha Tinh FC. He then returned to work as a youth coach at Hanoi FC. Coach Phan Thanh Hung's teams focus on ball control and beautiful attacks. With his mark at the club, in 2012, Coach Phan Thanh Hung was chosen as the head coach of the national team and U23 Vietnam. But he later resigned after failing at the AFF Cup 2012.
In the last 3 rounds of the first phase, Da Nang Club will meet Binh Duong, Hai Phong and Hanoi Police respectively. These are all tough opponents. Coach Pham Minh Duc will face a difficult problem when taking over the position from coach Phan Thanh Hung.
