Hanoi FC secured a resounding 3-0 victory over SLNA in Round 16 of the V.League 2025/26 season.
Before hosting SLNA at Hang Day Stadium, Hanoi FC is currently in 4th place with 24 points, 5 points ahead of their opponent, and aiming to close the gap on the top 3.
Both teams have been in good form recently, but the team from the capital still holds the advantage in head-to-head encounters, having won all three of their most recent matches.
Hanoi FC started the match proactively and quickly imposed their playing style on SLNA.
From the 7th minute onwards, the capital city team continuously launched coordinated attacks, while the visiting team proactively retreated, setting up a dense and disciplined defense.
In the 24th minute, the spectators at Hang Day Stadium nearly witnessed the opening goal when Van Quyet delivered a delicate through pass for Hoang Hen to run down and shoot from close range. However, goalkeeper Cao Van Binh made a spectacular save, preventing SLNA from conceding.

The deadlock was only broken in the 68th minute. From a precise left-footed cross by Hoang Hen, Fisher rose high and headed the ball powerfully into the net, leaving goalkeeper Cao Van Binh helpless and giving Hanoi FC a 1-0 lead.
Buoyed by the goal, the capital city team continued to increase the pressure. Just 4 minutes later, Hai Long made a speedy run, beating two SLNA defenders before finishing subtly in a one-on-one situation, increasing the score to 2-0.
This victory helps Hanoi FC maintain their 4th position in the standings.
The drama intensified in the final minutes of the match. In the 89th minute, Hai Long was fouled inside the penalty area and the referee awarded Hanoi FC a penalty.
From the penalty spot, captain Van Quyet calmly converted the penalty, securing a convincing 3-0 victory for the home team at Hang Day Stadium.
This impressive victory gives Hanoi FC 27 points after 16 rounds, temporarily holding 4th place in the V.League 2025/2026 standings and continuing to chase the leading group. Meanwhile, SLNA is currently in 9th place with 19 points after 16 matches.
