A humble eatery in the Vientiane night market in Laos has become a tourist destination after videos of the owner preparing the food went viral on social media.

On YouTube, many reputable food-sharing channels like Street Food Celebrity have documented the moment the owner made egg rice, receiving nearly 3 million views.

Many other videos also garnered high engagement. In them, numerous diners admitted they wanted to visit the restaurant to see the young woman making the egg fried rice dish firsthand.

Images from the videos show a girl with a delicate, strikingly beautiful face, no less attractive than actresses. For sales events, she always wears light makeup and pays attention to her versatile clothing choices.

Anthony, a British customer who visited the restaurant last April, said that the food was decent, without any particularly outstanding flavors. However, what made the restaurant so popular was probably the striking appearance of the waitress.

"With her beauty and youth, this girl could have chosen a quicker and easier way to make money. But instead, she chose to work hard and honestly selling goods at the night market," commented the British visitor.

Reportedly, the restaurant's signature dish is fried egg rice, which is very popular and well-liked in Laos. The dish is made from simple, readily available ingredients such as eggs and leftover rice.

After the eggs are beaten until smooth, they are poured into a pan and fried thinly to form the outer layer. The filling inside contains rice, various types of sausage, seaweed, and is served with chili sauce and other sauces.

A meal at the restaurant costs around 25,000 kip (30,000 VND), which is considered an affordable price at night markets in Laos.

Previously, some night market stalls in other countries also attracted customers thanks to beautiful female vendors. At Jodd Fairs night market in Bangkok (Thailand), many tourists sought out a smoothie stall dubbed "Street Beauty Queen" because they wanted to be served drinks directly by the beautiful female owner.

Although the shop is located quite far from the center of the night market and lacks a prominent sign, it's easy to find because there's always a line of customers waiting. The owner, Join Ploychanok Puathanyawong, is constantly peeling and blending fruits into smoothies to keep up with the customers' orders.

Reportedly, the shop first gained attention in 2019 when Chinese tourists visited the market and filmed videos, sharing them on various social media platforms. Since then, the young woman's reputation has grown.

The shop specializes in serving drinks made with Thai specialty fruits such as mango, apple, banana, pineapple, and passion fruit, but it is most famous for its cantaloupe and watermelon drinks.
