- At the final round of the 19th "Chinese Bridge" competition for high school students nationwide, held in May 2026, Do Tue Anh, class 11D3 (academic year 2025-2026), Chu Van An Specialized High School, excellently won the public speaking award – the award for the best orator and the overall first prize.
Entering the competition with just over two weeks to prepare her preliminary video and practice her performances, Tuệ Anh went through a rigorous and stressful preparation process. For the talent segment, she chose to perform the Ương Ca dance, a traditional folk dance from Northeast China, accompanied by an octagonal scarf. Despite the limited preparation time, utilizing every free moment during class to practice, she successfully performed the routine with many technically advanced dance movements.

In the public speaking competition, Tue Anh captivated the judges with her outstanding speech on the topic "Language paves the way - Friendship builds bridges." Her speech was inspired by her own experience participating in the Vietnam-China Children's Joint Program with the theme "Beautiful Scenery - Growing Together" in Nanning City, Guangxi, China in 2024. During the program, she met a young child from Nanning City. Despite not knowing Vietnamese, the child diligently studied and wrote a handwritten letter in Vietnamese to give to Tue Anh before parting ways. This sincere gesture helped her convey a profound message about the enduring friendship between the young generations of the two countries.
Upon winning two top awards, Tue Anh was overjoyed and deeply moved. She understood that to achieve such success, besides her own efforts, she had the support, guidance, and companionship of her parents, as well as timely feedback and dedicated instruction from her Chinese language teachers at the school.
Speaking about how she came to learn Chinese, Tue Anh shared: "My love for Chinese originated from watching the TV series Journey to the West when I was a child. My admiration for the character Sun Wukong sparked my curiosity about the Chinese language and culture. Later, after learning Chinese, whenever I felt tired, I would put away my books and listen to Chinese music or text a native speaker. This not only helped me relieve stress and improve my communication skills but also further nurtured my love for the language."
Every day, Tue Anh maintains the habit of learning 10 new words. She not only memorizes the spelling but also thoroughly researches the pronunciation, word type, and context of each new word. In particular, living and studying in a border province has given her many opportunities to participate in practical exchange activities with students from Guangxi Province (China), thereby improving her pronunciation and communication skills. She also actively participates in extracurricular activities and youth union movements.
It is known that during her two years of study at the specialized high school, Tue Anh has achieved an impressive record: Outstanding student title for two consecutive years; "Three Good Students" award at the provincial level in the 2024-2025 school year and at the national level in the 2025-2026 school year; gold medal in Chinese language at the 19th Hung Vuong Summer Camp in 2025; first prize in Chinese language at the provincial-level excellent student selection exam for 11th grade in the 2025-2026 school year; second prize in Chinese language at the provincial-level excellent student selection exam for 12th grade in the 2025-2026 school year; honorable mention in Chinese language at the national-level excellent student selection exam in the 2025-2026 school year… Notably, she was the top-scoring student in the entrance exam for the 36th cohort of the specialized Chinese program at the specialized high school in the 2024-2025 school year.
Ms. Duong Thi Vinh, homeroom teacher of class 11D3 (academic year 2025-2026) at Chu Van An High School for the Gifted, shared: "From her very first steps at the specialized high school, Tue Anh has demonstrated outstanding academic qualities. I highly appreciate her seriousness, creative thinking, and persistent spirit. Tue Anh is also an exemplary Youth Union member, a highly energetic and responsible student who has achieved three outstanding accomplishments at the central level, always knowing how to spread positive energy to those around her. I am completely confident that she will achieve even more brilliant accomplishments in the future."
The outstanding achievements of student Do Tue Anh have contributed to affirming the high-quality education of Chu Van An Specialized High School, and at the same time, demonstrate that passion, when nurtured properly with perseverance and scientific learning methods, will produce worthy results. With her proactive and continuous learning spirit, Tue Anh will go further on the path of conquering knowledge, becoming an active young person in cultural exchange activities in the future.
