(NLDO) - Information appeared on social networks about Chinese tourists complaining about expensive food and having to pay extra charges at a restaurant in Nha Trang.

The leader of the People's Committee of Nha Trang City ( Khanh Hoa ) said on February 4 that he had directed the authorities to clarify information on social networks about a restaurant in the city ripping off Chinese tourists.

Previously, on social media, an MH account appeared, saying that while surfing the Chinese app Xiaohongshu, he came across this post from a tourist in Nha Trang.

The bill of AB restaurant (Nguyen Thien Thuat street, Nha Trang city) was calculated at 7:49 p.m. on February 3, 2025, with dishes with very expensive prices, such as: grilled eggplant with scallion oil 1,890,000 VND/portion; stir-fried water spinach with garlic, 1 plate is 500,000 VND, 2 plates are 1 million VND.

In particular, white rice is 250,000 VND/portion, 2 portions are 500,000 VND; Tiger beer is 100,000 VND, 8 cans are 800,000 VND...

The total cost of the meal was 15,724,000 VND, the "Tet surcharge" was 4,717,200 VND, the total amount the customer paid was 20,441,200 VND.

The bill that Chinese tourists posted on social media showed very expensive food prices, including white rice at 250,000 VND/portion.
