Nvidia CEO explains that there have been two major infrastructure revolutions in history, which saw the birth of electricity and the Internet. Now, a new layer of infrastructure is being built on the foundation of the first two, which can be called artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure.

“Talking about AI infrastructure now seems vague. But in 10 years when we look back, we will realize that AI has been integrated into everything. We will see AI everywhere, every industry and every company needs AI. At that time, AI has become part of the infrastructure,” said Mr. Jensen Huang.

Just like the internet and electricity, AI infrastructure needs AI factories to “produce.” The Nvidia CEO said AI factories are places that are powered by energy to produce extremely valuable things called tokens.

“This is exactly what Nvidia is building. AI factories are not traditional data centers that provide and store information. Instead, AI factories produce tokens, something that is extremely valuable.

Companies will talk more about how many tokens they produced last quarter, last month, and even very soon every hour, just like any other factory,” the Nvidia CEO shared.

From Nvidia's perspective, it started out as a chip company with an estimated $300 million business opportunity in 1993, and has since expanded into the $1 trillion data center space.

"We are now moving towards the AI ​​infrastructure industry and the AI ​​factory. The scale of this industry will be measured in trillions of dollars. It can be seen that Nvidia CEO not only sees AI as a single technology but also as a new, fundamental infrastructure, with an importance comparable to electricity and the Internet.

AI infrastructure is expected to reshape the world in the next decade. Of course, this will require the construction of giant AI factories to process and create more tokens.
